Sebamed Liquid Face & Body Wash Review

Girly Girl Giveaways have reviewed Sebamed products in the past and have grown to love and trust them. Recently I was introduced to yet another one of their products, Sebamed Liquid Face & Body Wash.

This 2-in-1 wash is formulated for sensitive skin. It is free of parabens and is 100% soap and alkali free. Just like other Sebamed products this one was also made to have a PH of 5.5, the same PH as healthy skin!

This is essential in maintaining your skin's natural hydrolipid barrier against environmental stress. Any other pH level, such as found in soap may leave your skin open to break-down and deterioration.

I was using this stuff on a daily basis, it does a great job at removing makeup. Then my husband got his hands on it and decided he needed to take it to work with him! He has really sensitive skin and many bath products cause him to break out in a rash or dry his skin out. Not Sebamed, this actually helps his skin from drying out in the cold Alaska air where he works. I would recommend this for anyone, whether you have sensitive skin or not.

The people at Sebamed also have a great tip for summer they would like to share with all you Girly Girls. With the heat index rising you are probably exposing a lot more skin. But there is one part of your body that often gets overlooked. Can you guess what it is?

Armpits! The mindless daily shave and quick roll of deodorant steal 50 percent of moisture from skin and wreak havoc on underarm’s delicate pH balance, causing problems like dryness, redness, bumps and itchiness. Constant irritation also exacerbates hyperpigmentation, which is one cause of darkened armpits.

Fortunately, pits aren’t picky. Spending just 60 seconds on this easy, three-step routine from

Sebamed can keep underarm’s pH in check for a worry-free, comfortable day:

·         Gently Cleanse with a Soap-Free Wash: Using your hands or a gentle microfiber cloth, cleanse the underarms with an ultra-mild wash like Sebamed Liquid Face & Body Wash. The soap-free formula deep cleanses while naturally conditioning and restoring skin to the ideal pH 5.5, and using your hands or a soft cloth instead of a loofah helps protect skin’s delicate barrier. ($19.95 for 400mL, SebamedUSA.com)
·         Consciously Rinse and Pat Dry: Most of us forget to completely rinse and dry this area, causing water and cleansing residue to linger under the arms for unwanted itchiness. Instead of rubbing harshly with a towel, gently pat skin dry, which is much less abrasive.
·         Swipe on Sensitive Skin Deodorant: Many deodorants are based on harsh chemicals. Look for one made with balsam, a common hydrating oil that’s plant derived and soothing on sensitive skin. Apply one thin, even layer to the full area of the armpit (about a three-inch circle) using a gentle, single up-and-down swipe.

You can purchase this and all other Sebamed products online or by checking out their store locator to find a retailer near you.

Sebamed Lip Defense Review

You may recall a couple of months ago I reviewed Sebamed's Hand & Nail Balm.  I was also given the opportunity to try another one of their products, Sebamed's Lip Defense Lip Balm w/ SPF 30.  Like their hand & nail balm I love this lip balm. It is very soothing and really works! I also love that it has such a high sun protection, especially now that we are living in sunny southern California.

Sebamed Lip Defense smoothes dry, chapped lips and leaves them feeling soft and supple. The dermatologist-tested Sebamed Lip Defense formula features triple protection, leaving you with complete lip therapy. The lip balm regenerates with Vitamin E and chamomile extract, nurtures with essential plant extracts jojoba and rice bran, and defends with both UVA and UVB filters.

Because of the added SPF in this lip balm it was great to have on hand during the summer and I used it pretty much everyday. Now with colder weather heading our way this is going to be nice for dry chapped lips. The entire Sebamed skin care line is 100 percent soap and alkali-free, paraben-free, biodegradable and recommended by dermatologists. You can purchase online although Sebamed Lip Defense is currently on backorder.

Sebamed Review and Giveaway

Sebamed has been a leader in skincare with over 50 dermatologist recommended products sold in more than 80 countries worldwide.  Founded in 1956 by Dr. Heinz Maurer (who was a pioneer in the development of soap-free products to address the problems of eczema), the company specializes in skincare solutions for sensitive skin, age defense, acne, baby skin needs, and problematic skin (including eczema and psoriasis), as well as hair care and deodorant products.

I was recently sent Sebamed's Hand and Nail Balm for review.

Sebamed's Hand and Nail Balm is a three-in-one treatment that moisturizes your skin with allantoin, strengthens your nails with keratin, and softens your cuticles with coconut oil. The Vitamin B5-infused formula hydrates the skin and relieves dryness. The balm also employs sodium citrate to stabilize the acid mantle and restore skin to a healthy 5.5 pH.

I am so impressed with this stuff! I am not someone that gets manicures, in fact I don't often think about the look of my hands, but since receiving this hand balm I have been using it daily and I notice my hands feel softer and less dry. I have also noticed that my cuticles look better. This balm is very moisturizing but not in a greasy kind of way, it absorbs quickly and feels great. This has got to be in my opinion one of the best hand creams I have tried. I even had to share with my mom and she agrees with me this stuff leaves your hands looking and feeling better from the first application. For those of you who get gel manicures and have noticed ruined or weakened nails this Hand and Nail Balm will help strengthen those nails and keep your hands looking their best in between manicures.

You can purchase Sebamed products at CVS, Costco, and online at drugstore.com, walgreens.com and sebamedusa.com.

SebaMed Spa Shower Review

1st off , I will admit that I am the type of girl that sees a really cute or pretty package & usually buys it before I actually know how good the product is ! Ok now that I have admitted that , when I received Sebamed Shower Gel , I wasn't impressed by the packaging but was overwhelmed by the amazing information given to me in there press materials .. So I was excited to try it out ! Well can i just tell you all how Amazing this product is !!!!!! I was so refreshed by the mild yet overwhelming fresh fragrance, it lathered just enough and didn't leave a film like finish but more of a smooth moisture to my skin . Even after the wear of the day , I could still smell the fresh scent of Sebamed !
Not only is this a Spa like moment in the shower but It really is great for the skin .

in the hectic of today's world, a feeling of well-being is an important aspect of health maintenance. Water lily extract is known for its relaxing fragrance and hydrating capacity. Combined with mild wash active ingredients, a balanced skin care complex and allantoin the skin is moisturized and refreshed during cleansing, leaving it soft and perceptibly smoother to the touch. Adjusted to the physiological pH value of 5.5 the skin is safeguarded from lipid erosion, offering a high level of skin tolerance and protection against dryness and irritation. The pH value of 5.5 strengthens and stablizes the ecological balance of the skin's acid mantle promoting its vital barrier function. Dermatologically tested.
I am so excited to tell you that you can purchase Sebamed at your local CVS or online with SebaMed
