Corlorforms Revolution App Review and Giveaway

CLOSED
Winner #2 Kimberly

When I got my iPad2 for Christmas last year I had no idea my 4 year old would be using it more then I do. It has become "our" iPad but she has put in way more hours on it and has way more apps on it then I do. Just the other day I was given the opportunity to review a new children's app and boy was she excited to add to her expanding collection of games, movies, and books.

I am sure you have heard of Colorforms, it has been delighting children since the 50's. These fun colorful playsets that come with plastic stick-ons that you can decorate and redecorate to your hearts content. I loved Colorforms as a child and my little girl is enjoying them many years later. Well, it's a new day for Colorforms as they are now becoming digital with the very first Colorforms App. The new App extends the traditional Colorforms experience, giving players fresh and fun ways to play with sound, motion and animation.  Colorforms Revolution is now making a colorful splash in the App Store for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Combine shapes, colors, patterns and backgrounds in endless combinations to create an infinite number of exciting designs. Or choose a Play Set with themed stickers and backgrounds, put them in a scene and a story is born. Play a Puzzle Board to build a picture and see it animate. Or go wild with the crazy circle, surprise square, kaleido-triangle & radical rectangle. With simple controls you’ll figure out as you go, Colorforms® is good wholesome fun for everyone. Just pick it up, start playing and join the revolution!

This App goes beyond just having fun it is also a great teaching tool for learning about shapes and colors. My little girl was hooked as soon as the App stopped loading. She "Oohh'd and Aahh'd" over the colorful graphics and had a blast creating her very own Colorforms artwork. I literally had to pry her little hands away from my iPad. This is a great App sure to bring hours of entertainment for your little one and is only $2.99 in the App store.

I have one code good for a FREE iPad download of Colorforms Revolution for one Girly Girl reader.

Neater Feeder Review

I love my cat. I have been cleaning up his litter box and icky hairballs for the last 12 years, but one thing that really irks me is when I have to clean up his food and water messes. I think it annoys me because it's like he is doing it on purpose. I mean can my cat really be that much of a messy eater? I often find his water turned over and spilled all over the place and his food on the floor around his feeding area like he has been using his little paws to scatter it everywhere.

I recently learned about a product called the Neater Feeder and I knew I had to have it. I mean this product claims "No More Messy Floors!" when you use it.
The Neater Feeder is a revolutionary new feeding system that contains spills and splashes from family pets. The two-part container allows food to stay in the top reservoir while water drains into the easy to empty lower reservoir, protecting floors from stains and damage and making clean-up a snap! It’s especially great for homes with little ones running around constantly bumping and spilling Fido’s water. Messy eating and drinking pooches and kitties can finally be stopped. One less thing for mom and dad to clean up after. The Neater Feeder comes in beautiful finishes including bronze and cranberry, with stainless steel accents.

I received a Neater Feeder for review. The Neater Feeder comes in four sizes to accommodate all sizes of messy eaters. I was sent the cat Neater Feeder, the smallest of the feeders. For cats with Shoulder Height Range-up to 6". The cat Neater Feeder includes one 1 cup standard stainless steel food bowl, one 1.5 cup extra capacity stainless steel water bowl, and a set of non-skid rubber pads. The rubber pads work great at holding the container in place. The water and food reservoir catches all your pets messes so there really is no more messy floor and it is easy to clean. I love our Neater Feeder! I am not so sure about Mr. Rat though I think he may be coming up with another way to irritate me since he can no longer make a mess of his food.

You can purchase the Neater Feeder online.

BeadforLife Review

BeadforLife is a nonprofit organization that works to eradicate extreme poverty by creating bridges of understanding between impoverished Africans and concerned world citizens. Ugandan women turn colorful recycled paper into beautiful beads. Women in Northern Uganda, displaced by the 20 year war led by Joseph Kony, are now rebuilding their lives by gathering shea nuts and pressing them into shea butter for cosmetics and soaps. And people who care open their hearts, homes and communities to buy and sell both products.

The beads and shea butter become
income, food, medicine, school fees and hope. It is a small miracle that enriches us all.

I love companies that give back so when I heard about BeadforLife I was eager to share them with all of you.

Colorful handmade beads are artfully created into necklaces, bracelets and earrings. The beaded jewelery made by these women is beautiful and versatile. It is also very affordable and you can feel good about where your money spent is going.

The women of BeadforLife also craft wonderful 100 % natural Shea beauty products from Ugandan Shea nuts. They are rich in antioxidants and Vitamins A, E, and F. I was given a Shea Butter Soap and Peppermint Lip Balm for review.

The Shea Butter Soap was really gentle and smelled really nice. I used my bar in the shower for all over cleaning and it left my skin soft and feeling great. I love hand crafted soaps and this one is a good example of a well made one. It lasted a long time and is great for people with sensitive skin like my husband and daughter. The bar sells for $4.00 and is well worth the cost for many reasons.

I am a big fan of lip balm and this Shea Butter Peppermint Lip Balm did not let me down. It was creamy and left my lips smooth. The peppermint smells lovely and puts a pleasant tingle on your lips when you apply it. This also sells for $4.00 and again well worth it.

To find out more about BeadforLife and the positive things they are doing visit their website.  Also be sure to check out their store and support them by purchasing some amazing products.

And don't forget to find out more about how you can host a BeadParty and make a difference!

Canfo Natural Products Review and Giveaway

CLOSED
Winner #28 Stephanie H.

Canfo Natural Products uses plant extracts and herbal formulas to create natural health products. The founder of Canfo, Carl Chen, has observed that herbs can have profound effects on the wellness of human beings and can aid in a variety of health ailments. I was recently given the opportunity to try two Canfo products, FlushMe and EyeCare.
FlushMe is a proprietary blend of herbal extracts formulated to support the healthy cleansing and filtering functions of the liver, kidneys, colon, pancreas, spleen, and skin.

It is a quick 2 day cleanse that is meant to remove toxins from the body and digestive system. You are suppose to take a total of 12 capsules, 3 at a time for 2 days for this cleanse. This was my first time using a cleanse so I wasn't sure what to expect. FlushMe does not contain harmful stimulants or  laxatives but is 100% natural at eliminating waste in the body. While many cleansing programs last from one week to 14 days this one is suppose to be effective after just two. Without going into detail I found that I was using the bathroom a lot more then I usually do while taking FlushMe. I am guessing this was my body's way of cleaning itself out. I have heard horror stories from several friends who have tried cleanses only to feel sick with stomach cramps and nausea and weakness. I did not have this problem while using FlushMe. I had no side effects at all, but I am not sure if I felt any lighter or have more energy as Canfo claims when using this product. FlushMe can also be used as a daily dietary supplement.

EyeCare focuses on the liver, providing it the nutrients it needs for overall liver health and wellness.*The liver is believed to nourish and moisten the eyes. When the liver is deficient in nutrients, common problems include blurry vision, myopia, “floaters” in the eyes, color blindness, or dry eyes. When there is “heat” in the liver, eyes are likely to be bloodshot, often with a painful or burning sensation.

This 100% natural herbal supplement is designed to be taken 3 tablets at a time, twice daily for 10 days. I was very interested in this product first because it is designed for the heavy computer user which I am, and also because I have had issues with my eyes my whole life including blurry vision at times, near and far sightedness, amblyopia, and floaters. I don't know that I noticed any changes during my 10 days of using EyeCare but it is also designed to be taken as a supplement daily for continuing eye health and it might be worth trying out a little bit longer.

You can check out other Canfo Natural Products here.

How would you like to win the same two products I was given for my review? Canfo would like to offer one Girly Girl reader the chance to win both FlushMe and EyeCare.

Kind Plus Review

About six months ago, maybe a bit more, in an attempt to break my crunchy chocolate hazelnut spread addiction, I sought out a healthier natural alternative (other than fruit) for my late evening snack. It had to satisfy in texture, taste and health. I spent several months taste testing cereal bars and nutrition bars, I found a bar I really like and have continued to try since called Kind Plus.

Kind Plus bars are perfectly textured and perfectly flavor balanced with nuts and fruit and sweetness. All Kind bars are made with natural ingredients, gluten-free and provide a good source of vitamins and minerals. Most bars I’ve tried in the past pack on the sweetness in their bars making it more junk food than health food, but I find the Kind bars do not taste junky at all. Even the company’s philosophy is perfectly relatable to me, “Be KIND to your body, your taste buds, and the world.”®

I have not tasted all the Kind Plus flavors available, but out of the 4-5 flavors I have tried and taste I found Cranberry Almond + Antioxidants to be my favorite flavor, followed by the Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein flavor. Before tasting this one, I assumed it would have a very heavy peanut buttery taste to it that would overpower the chocolate flavor, but it wasn’t like that at all. I was wrong. The peanut butter flavor was subtle and the flavor of the chocolate was perfect, not too sweet or too bland. I would love to see a Cranberry Almond + Antioxidants with chocolate added.

Penny pincher that I am, I wait for Kind Plus bars to go on sale before I buy them and then I stock up. Then when the cravings hit for that late night snack I go into my pantry and grab one of these. I wont lie, sometimes I grab two and sometimes I’ll have one for snack during the day, but the point is I’m not reaching for chocolate hazelnut spread anymore. Sure it helps that I’m not buying chocolate hazelnut spread anymore, but now I also no longer have this addictive need to buy it anymore either.
