Kind Plus Review

About six months ago, maybe a bit more, in an attempt to break my crunchy chocolate hazelnut spread addiction, I sought out a healthier natural alternative (other than fruit) for my late evening snack. It had to satisfy in texture, taste and health. I spent several months taste testing cereal bars and nutrition bars, I found a bar I really like and have continued to try since called Kind Plus.

Kind Plus bars are perfectly textured and perfectly flavor balanced with nuts and fruit and sweetness. All Kind bars are made with natural ingredients, gluten-free and provide a good source of vitamins and minerals. Most bars I’ve tried in the past pack on the sweetness in their bars making it more junk food than health food, but I find the Kind bars do not taste junky at all. Even the company’s philosophy is perfectly relatable to me, “Be KIND to your body, your taste buds, and the world.”®

I have not tasted all the Kind Plus flavors available, but out of the 4-5 flavors I have tried and taste I found Cranberry Almond + Antioxidants to be my favorite flavor, followed by the Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein flavor. Before tasting this one, I assumed it would have a very heavy peanut buttery taste to it that would overpower the chocolate flavor, but it wasn’t like that at all. I was wrong. The peanut butter flavor was subtle and the flavor of the chocolate was perfect, not too sweet or too bland. I would love to see a Cranberry Almond + Antioxidants with chocolate added.

Penny pincher that I am, I wait for Kind Plus bars to go on sale before I buy them and then I stock up. Then when the cravings hit for that late night snack I go into my pantry and grab one of these. I wont lie, sometimes I grab two and sometimes I’ll have one for snack during the day, but the point is I’m not reaching for chocolate hazelnut spread anymore. Sure it helps that I’m not buying chocolate hazelnut spread anymore, but now I also no longer have this addictive need to buy it anymore either.
