BeadforLife Review

BeadforLife is a nonprofit organization that works to eradicate extreme poverty by creating bridges of understanding between impoverished Africans and concerned world citizens. Ugandan women turn colorful recycled paper into beautiful beads. Women in Northern Uganda, displaced by the 20 year war led by Joseph Kony, are now rebuilding their lives by gathering shea nuts and pressing them into shea butter for cosmetics and soaps. And people who care open their hearts, homes and communities to buy and sell both products.

The beads and shea butter become
income, food, medicine, school fees and hope. It is a small miracle that enriches us all.

I love companies that give back so when I heard about BeadforLife I was eager to share them with all of you.

Colorful handmade beads are artfully created into necklaces, bracelets and earrings. The beaded jewelery made by these women is beautiful and versatile. It is also very affordable and you can feel good about where your money spent is going.

The women of BeadforLife also craft wonderful 100 % natural Shea beauty products from Ugandan Shea nuts. They are rich in antioxidants and Vitamins A, E, and F. I was given a Shea Butter Soap and Peppermint Lip Balm for review.

The Shea Butter Soap was really gentle and smelled really nice. I used my bar in the shower for all over cleaning and it left my skin soft and feeling great. I love hand crafted soaps and this one is a good example of a well made one. It lasted a long time and is great for people with sensitive skin like my husband and daughter. The bar sells for $4.00 and is well worth the cost for many reasons.

I am a big fan of lip balm and this Shea Butter Peppermint Lip Balm did not let me down. It was creamy and left my lips smooth. The peppermint smells lovely and puts a pleasant tingle on your lips when you apply it. This also sells for $4.00 and again well worth it.
