Update on Sleep Therapy System

I am loving my Sleep Therapy System and I hope all of you are too! My son and daughter are sleeping better and so are my husband and I. We did have the unfortunate chance of receiving one of the very few that had a faulty memory card in it. I went to turn it on one day and it didn't work.
So I emailed the company telling them the problem and they got back to me right away. They were aware of the problem and they knew how they were going to fix it.

Adaptive Sound Technologies, Inc. said they purchased some bad components for a batch of machines and although the failure rate was low there were a few units that had problems. I just happened to be one of the lucky ones. They have since changed vendors and fixed the problem.

I was very impressed with the customer service that Adaptive Sound Technologies, Inc. provides for their customers. They were very quick and professional. They addressed the problem right away and were able to get a replacement unit out immediatly. This is a company I will be recommending to all my friends and I hope you will too.

Bottle Buddy Review

Recently I was given the opportunity to review the Bottle Buddy. To be honest I wasn't sure about the Bottle Buddy at first. The Bottle Buddy is suppose to dispense formula evenly each time so that you are not wasting formula or over feeding your baby. This sounds like a pretty simple task and something I can do on my own, most of the time, but after trying the Bottle Buddy out I had a change of heart.

The nice thing about the Bottle Buddy is that it doesn't make mistakes and it doesn't lose count. As a busy mom those are two things I often do. Some mornings I have so much going on, packing my daughters lunch, getting breakfast made and picking out clothes that it's nice to have one extra hand and one less thing to worry about. Or how about at 1 in the morning when your son is crying because he's teething and nothing will get him to go back to sleep. Your half asleep and you just want to get back to bed. The Bottle Buddy is a lifesaver at these times. I know that this all sounds a little silly but it really does help. I get distracted so much running from one task to the next while both my children are demanding my attention, that I am bound to make mistakes. It's nice to know that the Bottle Buddy is helping me make one less mistake by not over or under feeding my child. I don't even have to think about it! With the Bottle Buddy my little guy is getting the same amount of formula each time.

The other nice thing about the Bottle Buddy is that is it compatible with most formula brands. I can understand that you might think that it's just another thing on your kitchen counter but I know that as soon as you start using it you will fall in love with it. Why not make life a little easier on your self?

Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal Roll-On

I have never used a roll on deodorant before and I wasn't sure if I would like it or not but this stuff went on smooth and left the skin under my arms feeling soft and moisturized. It was a little wet at first but quickly absorbed into the skin and left me feeling fresh pretty much all day. I was very impressed with this deodorant. It has a light clean scent, nothing over powering. I think I finally found the alternative I was looking for.

I was also given a Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal Spray Mist to review. I wasn't as impressed with this product. It seemed to work initially but after a couple of hours I was reaching for my usual deodorant. My husband also tried it and had the same experience. I wonder if it just depends on a persons body chemistry. This may work for some and not for others.

One more product I was given to try was the Moiststic Natural Lip Protection. I love lip balm so I was happy to see this little extra. This is a great lip balm that quickly leaves dry chapped lips moisturized. I should know living in Alaska in the winter can be pretty harsh on my lips and this stuff had my lips feeling better almost instantly. It contains tea tree oil which is known for it's healing properties and also contains vitamin E to leave your lips smooth. I also love the light peppermint scent.

Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal products come in several varieties and scents. All products are completely free from Parabens, propylene Glycol, Phthalates, and harmful aluminum metals. You can find them online or in several stores including Walmart.

TUMMY YUMMIES

It's nice to make something easy on week nights after a long day at work. The kids can even help with these ones. All you will need is some crescent rolls, pizza sauce and pizza toppings.

Roll out the crescent rolls pinching the seams together. Make the pizza pies the size you want. Take pizza sauce and spread on the crescent roll. Add cheese and your pizza toppings.

Add another crescent roll on top and pinch the sides together. I also added two little slits at the top. Then follow instruction on the crescent roll package. Make sure that you watch them so that you don't over cook them. Ours got a little golden but they were still yummy!

Also try and make it with leftover stew, macaroni and hot dogs, or try stuffing them with pie filling.

Your kids will love making them and have even more fun eating them.

This Christmas my husband surprised me with an iPad 2 and when I received an email asking if I would like to review the ePillow, well the timing couldn't have been more perfect. I wasn't sure what to expect at first. I checked out the ePillow online and thought it looked like a pretty neat idea. I loved the variety of color and fabric choices available. I immediately decided I would choose the red and black one (pictured above) to match the decor in our bedroom. I figured if it didn't work for my iPad I could use it as pillow to rest my head on.

When I finally received my ePillow the first thing I liked was the look of it.

I love me some black eye liner, I have been wearing it since I was a teenager. I just love the way it makes my eyes pop and accentuates my almond shaped eyes. This eye liner has got to be one of my favorites. It goes on smooth and even and the point is fine which makes it easy to create the perfect line.  If you are looking for a more smoky eye it also has a smudger to help create that look. It is infused with olive oil and rainforest shea butter to protect and condition the soft skin around your eyes. This is another Neutrogena product I will continue to purchase, it's actually replacing my old brand of liner.

This shimmer gives an instant golden bronze to any skin tone. Perfect for my winter Alaskan complexion. It gives that nice boost of color so you don't look washed out. Instead of hanging out in 0 degree snowy weather it looks like I just came back from a tropical vacation. I love how smooth this goes on and it washes off just as quick and easy. I also love that it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy. I would recommend this stuff to anyone looking for that summer glow.

I was also given the Tanning Body Butter for Dry Skin to review.

Allows you to build a beautiful tan using the softest shea butter ingredients available! Light enough to use daily to build on top of the tan you already have. Can also be used as your daily moisturizer with it's light weight texture offering a velvety softness to skin while providing a sheer bronze color!
This cream contains Vitamin E and is a great moisturizer for dry skin. It leaves a subtle glow to your skin but what I was unimpressed with was the actual texture of the cream and application. It is a very thick and rich cream and is a bit hard to apply. I felt like I had to use a lot of it to get it to fully cover the area I wanted. It did not go on smooth and eventually after trying it a couple of times I gave up. Perhaps someone else has had better luck with this stuff, I would love to hear about it!

In addition to their self tanning products FakeBake also has a line of cosmetics called Bronzy Babe.

I was given the opportunity to review Bronzy Babe lip glosses in three different colors; High Maintenance, Prissy Lips, and Plum Crazy. First of all I love how these lip glosses look! Second I love that they do not dry out my lips. Third I love how glossy they are. They have a ton of shimmer to them and leave your lips looking super sparkly. My favorite of the three is High Maintenance, it's perfect for those nights out when you absolutely want to be noticed. It gives you the perfect ruby red lips. I also really loved Prissy Lips this is is more of a daytime gloss, only a touch of pale pink color but still with a lot of shine. I ended up giving Plum Crazy to fellow GGG author Tracy because as soon as I saw the purplish color I knew it would look great on her fair skin and with her blond hair. I was right and she says it is one her favorite lip glosses ever.

I am very concerned about what products I use in my home. Especially now that I have children. My daughter is almost four now and my son is one. I tend to have oily skin and I was pleased to find that these products do not exacerbate this problem. Both products go on smooth and are not greasy at all. They absorb into the skin quickly leaving it feeling smooth. As a matter of fact I have noticed that when I wake up in the morning my skin is still feeling super soft to the touch. While I currently do not have a product with wrinkles on my skin I am hoping that using these products now will help slow them from appearing too soon. These products are also suppose to help minimize pores on your skin which is something I can use. I have been using these products for a couple of weeks now and I do see and feel a difference in the texture of my skin. I think if you are worried about fine lines and wrinkles you should give the Algenist line of anti-aging products a try.

I have very fine, flat lifeless hair and I am always looking for products that promise to give my hair body and make it look fuller. I was recently given the opportunity to try some products from Samy's Fat Hair "0" Calories line of products and was very excited to try them out. 

Fat Hair Amplifying Hairspray
This extra hold, shaping and amplifying mist is a versatile design tool that adds extra volume, fullness and shine to any style. This unique formula keeps your style all day long and brushes through for easy re-styling. Leaves hair looking and feeling soft and touchable. Adds strength, body and texture without residue, buildup, stickiness or flaking.

The first thing I noticed about this hairspray was the smell. I am a sucker for nice scents and unfortunately this hairspray lacks that. I was very disappointed because I expected a salon store product to smell great, this stuff smelled like, well hairspray, and not in a good way. Fortunately the smell doesn't linger and once I got over the initial disappointment and tried the stuff out I thought it was a nice product. It holds without making your hair feel hard and crunchy, no one likes crunchy hair. This hairspray is not meant for stiff holds but is more of a finishing spray. It keeps the flyaways at bay and your hair style in place but your hair still has movement and body. $11.99

Fat Hair Thickening Spray
This ultra lightweight thickening spray transforms fine, limp hair into thicker, fuller stronger hair. Specially formulated not to weigh hair down. Samy's exclusive FH4 Thickening Complex - a blend of natural extracts and proteins penetrate each hair strand's diameter and expands the hair from the inside out. The result thicker, stronger, luxurious and healthier looking hair.

First of all I am happy to say this product actually has a very pleasant smell. It is light and fresh and when used on dry hair it actually lingers for awhile. I was a little afraid that this would make my hair oily and even more dull and flat and I have to admit when I used it on dry hair it really didn't do much to it. However, I now use this product on wet hair after showering and then blowdry and style my hair as usual and I have noticed it really does give my hair that extra boost it desperately needs. Nothing dramatic but I do find that on the days I remember to use this thickening spray my hair has a little more life to it. This product is also very reasonably priced for what it is. $6.99

This product smells very similar to the Thickening Spray, in fact it's actually a very similar product in use and results as well. Because it is a cream base I expected it to leave my hair a greasy mess but again I was wrong. I use this on wet hair before blowdrying as well and have pretty much gotten the same results as the Thickening Spray. Honestly I am not quite sure what the difference is besides maybe some people prefer sprays over creams. This is also reasonably priced at $6.99

All in all I thought the three products from Samy's Fair Hair "0" Calories product line were nice salon quality products. You can purchase these Samy products and more online or in several stores nationwide.
