Twigtale Review and Discount Code

I am a scrapbooker, or maybe I should say I am former scrapbooker. Lately it seems like I haven't the time to sit down and create. My photos are cramming up my computer and I am low on scrapbooking supplies. When I was contacted by Twigtale to review their service and products I was pretty excited. Twigtale specializes in personalized children's books. While most of their books tend to have a focus on early transitions, e.g., new sibling, starting school, moving, pet loss, parents go on a trip, potty, etc… They also have other titles that help promote child development and self esteem. Like this one that I created for my daughter Penelope using a few of my many photos that need a home.

This book "Me" shows your child who they are and what makes them special.  The story helps build identity and self esteem. I customized it to create a cute book that my daughter was thrilled about when she saw it.

I also loved how it turned out, as does everyone who has seen it. More then just a photo album filled with pictures this book is a wonderful keepsake that reminds my daughter how much she is loved and how unique and special she is.

So what was the process of creating this book like? Easy Peasy! You just choose your book, upload the photos you would like to use, and Twigtale will walk you through the process of customizing it. No glue or embellishments needed! From the front cover to the last page you choose whether you would like to use the provided text for your book or can put it in your own words. You decide which and how many photos you want on each page. Twigtale's books are unique in that they have been written by child development experts but they also have the option of creating your very own book from scratch. They provide a simple template and you personalize it as you wish.

These books are wonderful and can be used in so many ways. To organize your child's special birthday, holiday, or vacation moments. To help them with new events in their life. To remind them how precious they are, and even to clear up your hard drive and display your treasured photos of your little one in print. They also make thoughtful gifts for grandparents, auntie's and uncles, cousins or other family and friends that may live far away.

Father's Day is just around the corner, why not sit down with your child and create a "Me and Daddy" book for him. Use the code TWIG10 at checkout and receive 10% off your order now until June 30, 2014.

Vaseline Men Spray Lotion Review and Giveaway

Closed
Winner #5

You may recall several months ago I posted a giveaway for Vaseline Spray & Go lotion. Vaseline has recently come out with a men's version of this product. Vaseline Men Spray Lotion comes in two formulas; Fast Absorbing and Fast Cooling. Just like Vaseline Spray & Go this lotion this conveniently sprays on leaving your skin moisturized quick and effortlessly. The Fast Absorbing lotion is great for dry skin while the Fast Cooling cools and hydrates overheated skin making it the perfect addition to your guys gym bag.

I was sent the Fast Absorbing lotion for my husband to review and he loved it. In fact the bottle is all gone because he used it daily. I don't think his skin has ever been more moisturized. He loved how quickly it absorbs into your skin and does not leave  a greasy feeling. My husband works a rotation in Alaska, with the temperatures being down right freezing up there his skin tends to dry up really fast. Vaseline Men Spray Lotion was great at keeping his skin soft and itch and dry free. You can purchase these at food, drug and mass retailers nationwide.

How would you like to win one bottle of each formula for your man? Two Girly Girl readers will win both the Fast Absorbing and the Fast Cooling lotions.

To Enter: Leave me a comment telling me you would like to win. You can get extra entries for following GGG through GFC, Subscribing via email, liking us on Facebook and following via Twitter.

This giveaway will end on May 18, 2014. I will choose the winner using Random.org. Please leave a valid email address if it is not visible in your profile. US entries only.

A Gift Personalized Review

Looking for a thoughtful gift to give a loved one? Whether your shopping for mom, searching for the perfect Fathers Day present, need to buy something for that special graduate, or trying to find an original birthday gift. A Gift Personalized has it all. Products are conveniently organized by gift recipient, category and occasion, making it easy for you to shop. They carry everything from barware to tote bags and any item can be personalized making for a much more meaningful gift. I was given the opportunity to pick out a product from the many items they have available. It was hard to decide. I kept going back and forth between a canvas print for our home or a keepsake box for myself. I finally decided to let my husband pick something out for himself since it is not often I review products that he can enjoy. It took him less then 15 minutes to find what he wanted!

This Frosty Pop-up Ice Bucket that he plans to take to work with him. He also had it personalized with, I am embarrassed to say, Loverboy. Apparently according to him, that's what his nickname was in school since our last name is Lavoie. Never mind that he has long graduated from school and I don't believe anyone has called him that in many years. *sigh* In any event he was very pleased with his ice bucket when it arrived, which was very quick I might add. Be sure to check out agiftpersonalized.com for all your gift giving needs.

Everpro Gray Away Review

I have dark hair but recently I have noticed a few gray strands. Since it is only a couple I usually pull them out, but since I am turning 37 this summer I will probably be seeing more of these in the next few years. I was sent Everpro's Gray Away for review.

Gray Away is a revolutionary hair product that lets women go weeks between root touch-ups, saving time, money and energy. The spray application product offers self-adjusting color technology that matches hair color perfectly and dries quickly. It doesn’t contain dyes; rather it is made of mineral derived pigments, making it completely safe…even for pregnant women.

Gray Away comes in two color options Light Brown and Dark Brown/Black. It is perfect for in between dye jobs when your roots are starting to show their true color. It is very easy to use. You simple spray along your hair line where needed and it covers up those pesky gray roots. I haven't dyed my hair in quite awhile but I do use this product on the little gray hairs that are starting to pop up and they are instantly erased. I have also mentioned in the past that I have very thin hair and my scalp is very noticeable. Gray Away has also helped me with this problem because if I spray it along my part it actually fills in a bit of my scalp and gives my hair a fuller look. You can't even tell that I have used anything on my hair. I really like this stuff. You can purchase it for $12.99 with FREE shipping on their website. Everpro also has a version of Gray Away for men.

Glysonna Review and Giveaway

Closed
Winner #2

I often have a hard time falling asleep at night. Even though I am exhausted and want to sleep my body just tosses and turns in my bed, it can be very frustrating. I usually end up turning on Netflix and staying up until  1am watching shows only to have to wake up at 6 in the morning to get ready to take my daughter to school. Needless to say that is not enough sleep and my body lets me know that. I am not sure why I have such a hard time falling asleep but my mom has the same problem. Prescription sleeping meds are not an option for me, I once took a sleeping pull only to have a very bad reaction to it, I am talking hallucinating clowns bad, I thought I was going crazy. It was the worst experience and I have not tried another sleeping pill since. When I first learned about Glysonna I have to admit I was a little leery about it, I kept thinking back to that night I had a sleeping pill induced acid trip. Not cool! However Glysonna is a drug free sleep aid that is all natural and contains eight active ingredients – Glycine, L-Theanine, JuJube Extract, Phenibut, Hops Extract, Passion Flower Extract, Cinnamon Extract and Melatonin – and seven wellness ingredients – Vitamin D, Vitamin B6, Zinc, Selenium, Niacin and Magnesium. It does not contain ingredients such as antihistamines, alcohol, tryptophan and 5HTP, ingredients that are potentially harmful and found in other sleep aid products. So I decided to give it a try...

What was my experience with Glysonna like? First of all this sleep-aid is in liquid form rather then your typical sleeping pill. It comes with a small measuring cup so you drink the correct amount each time. It is very tasty, it tastes like cold apple cider. The directions say to drink it no later then 30 minutes before you plan to lay down for bed. It also says to make sure you have at least 8 hours that you can commit to sleep. I drank my little shot of sleep juice and immediately laid down in bed, it was about 9pm. Within 15 minutes I was starting to feel a little drowsy and this was after taking a nap earlier in the day. By 9:30 I was out. My dog Timber woke me up a few hours later to be let out and I stumbled to the back door to let him out. I immediately fell back to sleep as soon as my head hit my pillow. I slept peacefully and dream free the rest of the night and woke up at 9am. 9 in the morning! I never wake up this late and it is a good thing that I decided to try Glysonna on a Friday night otherwise I think Penelope would have been late for school. If you decide to try this product be sure to heed the warning about allowing yourself at least 8 hours of sleep. When I did finally wake up I was not groggy and felt well rested and the best thing of all, it did not make me feel like I was on drugs. I wouldn't use this product all the time but I might try it again when I want to get a good nights rest.

According to their website:

Glysonna is suitable for anyone who is over the age of 14 and is not also pregnant or lactating. Glysonna has successfully helped individuals suffering from long-term issues such as sleep apnea, insomnia and PTSD in addition to short-term difficulties with sleep such as anxiety or surgery.
In some cases doctors recommend Glysonna as a first-response option for acute insomnia or a drug substitute to treat chronic insomnia. It may also be considered a non-respiratory depressant, non-drug sleep aid to be used in conjunction with PAP therapy.
