Out of Africa Pure Shea Butter Hand Creams Review
Out of Africa sells shea butter products that are all natural, paraben-free, and eco-friendly. Shea butter is a substance made from the nuts of the Karite tree which is native to west and east Africa. It contains Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin F, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants all of which help nourish, hydrate and revitalize the skin. Want to learn more about the benefits of shea butter? Check out their website here.
I was sent two of their Shea Butter Hand Creams for review, Olive with Aloe and Lemon Verbena. This luxurious hand cream also comes in Vanilla but is currently sold out. Right now I am using the Olive hand cream and I absolutely love it. I always have to smell a new product when I get it and this particular cream did not have much of a scent to it. It is very rich and thick but quickly absorbs into your skin leaving your hands super soft without a greasy residue. The first time I tried the cream I couldn't stop touching my hands. I have not used the Lemon Verbena yet but I did open it up and take a whiff, it has a pleasant citrus scent and I imagine it works just as well as the Olive hand cream. While most other brands contain only 1 to 2 % shea butter, Out of Africa's Shea Butter Hand Creams contain 20% of the finest, pure and unrefined shea butter.
The shea butter in Out of Africa’s Hand Creams can also help to prevent premature aging and other skin ailments like blemishes, wrinkles, eczema, psoriasis, sunburn, stretch marks, scars and dermatitis.
A 1 oz. tube sells for $6.99 while a 2.5 oz. tube sells for $10.99. With each purchase that is made Out of Africa contributes 15 cents to help provide education to women and children in West Africa. You can purchase these hand creams and other Out of Africa products online.

Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar Review
Purpose is a brand of skincare products specifically formulated for those with sensitive skin. Their products are gentle enough to be used daily on all skin types. Their products include a Gentle Cleansing Wash, Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion, and a Gentle Cleansing Bar. All of their products are hypoallergenic, oil free, and won't clog pores. I was sent a Gentle Cleansing Bar for review.
I tend to have skin that is more on the oily side so I love that this cleansing bar is oil free. I used it to wash my face in the shower and it left it feeling refreshed and clean. It does a nice job of getting rid of excess oil without drying out your skin. Another great thing about this bar is it lasts a really long time. I washed my face with it everyday for about 2 months and for only $4.00 a bar that's a great deal! The one thing I will say bad about this bar is that even though it is very gentle on your skin, it is not in your eyes. I learned this the hard way when I told my 5 year old daughter to wash her face with it. OOPS! You can purchase Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar and other Purpose products in several drugstores like CVS and Walgreens. My local Target also carries these products.

Savannah Bee Review and Giveaway
Closed
Winner #3, 55
Savannah Bee offers pure honey and honey based beauty products. I was given the opportunity to review their All Natural Beeswax Lip Gloss as well as one of their newest products Honey Body Wash. First let's talk about the lip gloss because as you all know I love my lip gloss.
These lip glosses come in three different varieties; Mint Blossom, Wild Blackberry, Tupelo Honey. First of all they smell wonderful! Aside from that they leave your lips super soft, they are super glossy, and each one leaves a different subtle color from a glossy pink, shiny red, and a shimmery brown. Savannah Bee Beeswax Lip Gloss contains no parabens, no petroleum derived ingredients, and is never tested on animals. I was given all three and absolutely love them. My favorite is the Wild Blackberry! You can purchase all three in a combo set for $21.
Now for the Honey Body Wash!
These come in Wild Blackberry, Tupelo Honey, and Lemongrass Spearmint. All three of these amazing body washes contain royal jelly, propolis, and honey to soften, nourish, and repair your skin. Just like the lip glosses above these also smell wonderful. They lather up really nice and feel great on your skin. I received the travel sizes for my review. These are perfect to toss in your toiletry bag. They also come in an 8oz. version and sell for $9.99 each.
I was very impressed with these products and even more impressed with the story behind Savannah Bee, check it out here. While you are there be sure to look at all the other honey based products that are available as well as the different varieties of honey.
Want to win some Savannah Bee?
2 Girly Girl readers will get the chance to try these products for free. I am giving away a Tupelo Honey Body Wash and Lip Gloss set as well as a Wild Blackberry set.

Dove At-Home PitiCure and New Dove Advanced Care Deodorant Launch Party
Let's admit it other then shaving your underarms you probably do not think of your armpits much when it comes to your beauty regime. Dove would like to change that! To celebrate the launch of their New Dove Advanced Care Deodorant they are inviting women everywhere to give their armpits the care they deserve. With an easy 3 step PitiCure treatment you can have softer, smoother, and good looking armpits. Bet you have never heard that before!
At-Home PitiCure
Step 1: Exfoliate
Use a gentle exfoliating scrub or wipes to cleanse underarms and draw our impurities.
- Impurities in the underarm area can cause unwanted irritation (folliculitis/ingrown hair) and exfoliation and cleansing can help to relieve this.
Step 2: Rinse
Rinse the area with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel.
Step 3: Care
Apply Dove Advanced Care Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant with NutriumMoisture
- Formulated with NutriumMoisture to care for underarm skin.
- Provides softer, smoother underarm skin in just 3 days.
- Offers 48-hour odor and wetness protection.
I was sent the new Dove deodorant for review and I am anxious to give it a go. I will let you know my thoughts sometime next week.
I have more news! For those of you that live in our around the Los Angeles area you are invited to the launch party where you will be pampered with a PitiCure beauty treatment just in time for Valentines Day, and that little black dress. Additionally women will also have the opportunity to showcase their confidence post-PitiCure with an armpit revealing pose in Valentine’s Day attire at a Dove photo booth.
The event will take place at The Grove in Los Angeles on February 13, 2014 from 10am to 8pm. You can RSVP for this event here.
Let me know if you make it out unfortunately I have plans for that day but I would love to hear how it goes.
