MyColdFront Review and Giveaway
Earlier this year I received
a package for review with a product originally intended for women suffering from hot
flashes. I’m in my early 30s, not near menopause, but I was curious to see what
the MyColdFront kit could do for me. I found out early last month its use for
pain relief.
A few months ago my
migraines returned after years without them. The doctor’s guess at what causes
them. My most recent migraine came on quick and with extra strength, one of the
worst ones in years (not counting the 3 day migraine when I was in my 20s). It
was difficult to drive home and when I did get home safe I hit the sofa and
stayed there trying not to move at all. My sweet daughter turned off all the
lights, handed me some pills and took care of the rest. Trying to fall asleep
to dull the pain I was desperate for any quick pain relief until the pills
kicked in and that’s when I remembered I had MyColdFront.
I had yet to put MyColdFront
in the freezer, or really use this product as I hadn’t had an incident to, but
loved the feel of the gel packs in my hand and decided to apply the two smaller
packs to my head and the larger one to the top of the back of my neck. There is
certain impatience and somewhat panic that accompanies an intense migraine, as
the pounding pain is so overwhelming that it becomes worse unless you find a
way to relax. The cold gels MyColdFront packs helped me relax, to calm down and
take deep breaths as I felt their coolness against my skin. Eventually, I fell asleep.
Then a few weeks ago I used MyColdFront
again on a nasty bump to my shin (stupid coffee table) without it having it
been frozen in days. Still my shin instantly felt so much better. I think using
it also helped reduce the bruising.
I
found daily freezing the gel packs too much for me to remember to do. Besides
the gel packs felt just as good to me for use without the freezing, but frozen
they are much better than a hard frozen ice pack to an ache.
The zippered
hardy case the gel packs come in, not much larger than the case for sunglasses is
too large for my super small black purse, but I’m one of the few women I know
who carries tiny purses. However, in many of the big purses I see my sisters
and friends using, this case can fit right in with ease. I only wish one was
made for my size purse.

Onion Crunch Review and Giveaway Yum! Yum! Yum!
Sometimes all it takes to make a good meal taste even better is an easy to reach for easy to add tasty topping like Onion Crunch. I have had months to review/taste test Onion Crunch on a variety of foods for a fair review and I let my kids in on the taste testing too. They loved the opportunity and the results as much as I did.
What
is Onion Crunch? It is onion bit toppings made with real onions that can be put
on a variety of foods. It is an inexpensive all natural Kosher (parve), vegan
and non-gmo food product, low in sodium, carbs and also has 0 grams of
cholesterol and of trans fat. In addition it is made up of only 4 ingredients:
onions, oil, flour and salt.
The taste test: the first day the box of Onion Crunch samples arrived at my home I poured some in my hand to taste. It tastes like real onion, sweet crunchy onion pieces. After that I have topped a variety of meals: salads, homemade and store bought lasagna, homemade soups, pizza, beans, etc., with Onion Crunch.
My kids and I enjoyed experimenting topping meals with Onion Crunch to see what we liked it on best. We found we liked it best with lasagna and salads because it added the perfect texture to these dishes, but I was also surprised to find out how much I liked it in soups, especially by homemade beef stew. Sometime this month I plan to top my stuffed bell peppers with it.
The crunchiness of Onion Crunch isn’t like a crispy chip or toasted bread, but more like battered onion rings in tiny pieces. My 4 year old liked Onion crunch so much I often found him sneaking into another room from the kitchen eating Onion Crunch from his palm. It’s healthier than candy!
Onion Crunch can now be found at Wal-Mart. For more information about Onion Crunch visit http://www.onioncrunch.com/

Joey New York Review
Joey New York is known for products that give instant visible results, their focus is to develop beauty products to enhance beauty, maintain youthfulness, reverse the signs of aging, and perfect imperfections all while using the purest, safest, most luxurious and exotic ingredients from nature.
Their newest collection which is infused with coconut water was created to bring you quick fixes to everyday problems using nature's soothing ingredients.
These products include Bye Bye Blackheads, Correct -A-Line for Face and Eyes, Day Gel and Night Cream Eye Duo, Keep it up, Line Up, and Peel-off Masque. I was given Bye Bye Blackheads, Correct-A-Line, and the Eye Duo for review.
Bye Bye Blackheads
This powerful, yet gentle, formula instantly removes blackheads while minimizing the appearance of large pores and treating acne breakouts. In just 60 seconds, the gel masque treatment delivers instant, visible, pain-free results, normalizing damage and brightening lackluster skin for a fresh, clean, clear complexion.
This product is meant to be used 1 to 2 times a week on large pores and blackheads. You put it on, wait for the gel to dry and then using your finger you rub it away. OK, so here are my thoughts on this stuff...remember when you were a kid and you would cover the palms of your hands with Elmer's glue and wait for it to dry and then have fun rubbing the dry glue off your hands? This is what this product reminded me of, only I would never put glue on my face. :) This product works! I tend to get blackheads in my t zone area, mostly on my nose and I have noticed since starting this product that they are pretty much gone. On days when I start to see a few showing up again I use Bye Bye Blackheads and again POOF all gone. I love this stuff and yes, it is fun to use.
Correct-A-Line Filler and Primer
This two-in-one product instantly smoothes skin and erases imperfections, leaving the complexion camera-ready. Ideal as an all-over filler or primer for makeup, the gel serum mattifies skin while hydrating.
This can be worn alone, under makeup, and even over makeup for added coverage. It is very lightweight and absorbs quickly. It feels like powder when you apply and gives your skin this almost satin-y feel. I have been using this under my makeup and I notice it helps my makeup go on more smooth and even.
Day Gel & Night Cream Eye Duo
Get radiant eyes day and night with this powerful day gel and night cream duo, designed to tighten, smooth and revitalize the delicate eye area.
The gel is meant to be used in the day and the cream during the night. They both have a similar texture but the night cream seems to absorb quicker then the gel does. Be careful to only use a small amount of the gel as I noticed the first couple of times I used too much and it left the skin under my eyes feeling a bit sticky. To Be honest I don't know if I have noticed a difference in the skin around my eyes, fortunately I have yet to develop wrinkles around my eyes. Maybe these products will help delay this!
Overall I was impressed with these products and I would really like to to try the Peel-off Masque as well. Especially since I have found these products to be very gently on my skin and do not cause any breakouts.
You can purchase Joey New York products at several online cosmetic and drugstores.

The Bug Patch
It's starting to warm up here in Bakersfield and spring is just around the corner. You know what that means? With spring comes new life and lots of bugs! So to prepare yourself from those pesky insect bites I would like to share with you a product I was introduced to called The Bug Patch.
The Bug Patch is a safe and natural insect repellent patch. It is chemical free and safe for kiddos too. No more messy sprays or lotions, you just stick the patch on your body and it will provide full body protection from mosquito's, horse flies, chiggers, and ticks. So how exactly does this little patch work?
The patch sends a stream of Vitamin B1 into your body through the blood stream and is then secreted through the pores as you sweat and masks the odor of carbon dioxide that attracts certain insects.
It's almost like you are invisible to the little buggers. You can use it anytime, anywhere that you will be out enjoying the warmer weather. Be sure to toss some of these in with your camping equipment, into your hiking pack, and for all my Alaskan friends you better stock up on these now, the mosquito's are almost getting ready to swarm.
We have not yet needed to use these but with the warmer weather comes more outdoor play so I am eager to give them a try . You can purchase The Bug Patch online.
