Eyn Product Review

I love my iPhone, when I got it I couldn't believe that I would use it as much as I do now. I use it for not only phone calls and messages but also my email, games for my kids and I can also use it to charge credit cards for my business and check my facebook account from anywhere. With all of these amazing things that I can do I really never thought about my case.

Most people when they are picking out their iPhone case they look at style and color. This has always been our only option but now not only can you get your favorite color and style but you can also get a phone case that has a usable function.

eyn was developed as a simple solution to an everyday problem: having the freedom to walk around with just your phone and a few necessities—a couple credit cards, some cash and your i.d. They felt that most people nowadays don't want to carry much more, so that's why they created eyn (pronounced 'n')— which stands for everything you need.

While designing eyn, their goal was to create a built-in storage area within the case that clicks shut and keeps your personal items hidden and secure, so you can carry everything together all in one place.

Well from they moment I got my case I knew I was going to love this but I had to test it out. I was a little nervous about putting my ID and my credit card in my case because I misplace my phone so much. Plus my kids both play with my phone and I was afraid my 2 year old would get his hands on my cards. So I put some cash in it and carried it around with me to the coffee shop, grocery store and the movies. Everywhere I went I got "wow where did you get that" and "that is so cool, I want one". I had a very positive response to it. It's easy to latch and I am confident my things will not fall out. I would have loved this in college and I know I will use it when I am traveling.
I did find the perfect everyday use for it. My business cards...I know genius! I always forget to throw them in my purse or I have them in my car. But I never forget my phone so when I am talking to someone and they are interested in my business I have a card right there. Very convenient! Here's a picture of how I use it. I know it's not a great picture but you can at least see how it worked for me.

I highly recommend you getting one of these cases. Oh and a bonus you can open the phone case and use it to prop up your iPhone when you are watching a movie! Love this for the kids!

Pre orders for the iPhone 5 case are available now. Also, out now, the new Buddha Nose Lip Balm, made exclusively to fit inside of the eyn case.

The eyn case ($29.99) and lip balm ($10.00/4) can be purchased at www.eynproducts.com.

Revlon Limited Edition Hair Tools Review

Revlon is well known for their cosmetics and beauty tools but they also sell an array of hair tools. Hair appliances like blow dryers, hair setters, flat irons as well as hair brushes and accessories. Recently I was introduced to their limited edition designer hair tools. These bring style and personality to your hair routine. When my little girl saw them she said "oooh fashion". That's exactly what these hair appliances are fashionable and artistic and with all the latest technology so not only will you look good while doing your hair but your hair will look it's best when you are finished.

These are the products I was sent for my review:

1875 Watt Ionic Nano Ceramic Turbo Dryer in python print.

1 inch Nano Ceramic Ionic Straightener in python print

Tapered Nano Ceramic Ionic Digital Styling Iron in ribbon print

When I saw these products I immediately fell in love with them. They were sure prettier then the plain Jane hair tools from my past. I especially loved the python print with it's rocker look, my husband even said if it weren't for the pink in the print he would totally take these to work with him. :) Aside from these looking great they also work great. The dryer has a lot of power and drys my hair very quickly. I love the hair straightener it doesn't take long to heat up and provides the super straight hair I love. As for the curling iron, it's a little different then the typical iron I am used to. It is tapered and creates tight curls or natural looking curls that start towards the end of your hair. My hair is short and I think this particular iron is meant with longer hair in mind. I tested it out on Penelope who needed to be fancied up for a Fancy Nancy party she was invited to.

Here she is before with her stick straight hair, and here she is after all dolled up and ready to party.

I love that it left her hair flowing and added body. I had a hard time trying to figure out exactly how to work the iron because like I said it was different then what I was used to. I think with a little practice I will be able to make the perfect curled do. I also think this would make the cutest Shirley Temple locks!

These limited edition tools are being sold only at Target stores. I was their just last week and they still had these particular designs available. Be sure to check out your nearest Target for any limited edition designs available.

Olay Total Effects Review

Olay is a well known name that has been providing bath and beauty products for over 50 years. Their wide range of products include soaps, lotions, cleansers, creams, and hair removal products. Their products are made to help with a variety of skin concerns such as acne, aging and dry skin. I am pretty sure you have come across at least one of their products sometime in your life. I am very familiar with their bar soaps which we use regularly and my mom loves their facial cleansers and creams. I was recently sent one of their products from their Total Effects line for review.

Olay Total Effects are meant to fight the 7 signs of aging:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles: reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven Tone: balances and helps even out tone
  • Age Spots: reduces appearance of discoloration
  • Gentle Exfoliation: Improves surface cell turnover
  • Dryness: provides nourishing moisturization
  • Moisture Barrier: strengthens skin’s natural defense against moisture loss
  • Luminosity: recaptures youthful luminosity

  •
I received Olay's Total Effects Tone Correcting Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15.

fights fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone, age spots, and dryness. At the same time, it also works to improve surface cell turnover with gentle exfoliation, strengthen skin’s natural defense against moisture loss, and recapture youthful luminosity.

This moisturizer comes in three different shades fair to light, light to medium, medium to deep. You apply it to your face alone or under your foundation for a sheer coverage that is suppose to even out your skin tone and help to cover up imperfections. I found that while it goes on smooth it does feel a little greasy. The coverage alone is not very noticeable but I have been using it under my foundation/powder compact and feel my skin looks smoother and more even. I have only been using this color correction cream for a few days so I can't really say if it is improving the look of my skin in the long run but I think it helps for those days when your skin is not at it's best.

You can purchase Total Effects Tone Correcting Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and other Olay products at your local drugstore or Target store.

    Numi Organic Tea Review

Do you know someone who is a lover of teas? My husband is a big coffee drinker but I myself would much rather enjoy a cup of tea, be it hot or cold.

Numi Organic Tea is a purveyor of premium quality organic, non-GMO and fair trade certified teas and teasans. Numi blends its organic leave teas in a solar-powered facility with only real herbs, fruits, flowers and spices—not unnecessary “natural” flavorings or perfumes. All Numi products are packaged in recycled-content containers and non-GMO verified biodegradable bags and are available in retail outlets in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Being a tea drinker I am very familiar with Numi teas. I have tried several varieties of their green, black, and white teas, but recently I was sent a mini sample of their Pu-erh teas to try. Pu-erh has been enjoyed as a healing tea for thousands of years. It contains more
anti-oxidants then green tea and has been traditionally known to help weight management, improve digestion and metabolism and naturally boost energy. Numi Pu-erh teas come in several varieties. The mini sampler I was sent includes the following:

    Emperor's Pu-erh- Organic black Pu-erh tea.
Ginger Pu-erh- Organic black Pu-erh tea with a touch of organic ginger.
Cardamom Pu-erh- Organic black tea with a touch of organic cardamom.
Jasmine Pu-erh- Organic black Pu-erh tea and organic green tea scented with jasmine flowers.
Chocolate Pu-erh- Organic black Pu-erh tea, organic cocoa powder, organic vanilla beans, organic rooibos, organic cinnamon, organic orange peel, organic nutmeg.
Basil Mint Pu-erh- Organic black Pu-erh tea with organic mint and organic basil.

I really enjoyed the deep rich flavor of these teas. I especially loved the Chocolate with the combination of sweet, citrus and spice that makes this an intense and delicious tea. The Basil Mint makes a lovely glass of iced tea and the Jasmine smells wonderful the moment you remove the tea bag from the packaging. If you are not familiar with Numi teas then this is the perfect sampling at just $3.99 for the box.

Pu-erh teas also come in an Indulgent Collection that includes 4 bags of each flavor all stashed away in a sustainable bamboo box.

The collection sells for $22.99 but is currently on sale for $19.54. This would make a thoughtful gift for the tea drinker in your life. Purchase online or to try other varieties of Numi teas you can also find a store near you that carries them.

    Green Bride Guide and Review

Are you or do you know someone who is planning their big day? While June seems to be the most popular month for weddings many couples have sentimental or personal reasons for choosing another month to tie the knot. July and August are quickly becoming the prime time for a sunny summer union. My husband and I said our "I do's" in September because it was the ideal month to be able to get our loved ones together to share the day with us. And of course what girl wouldn't want to walk down the aisle in February, the love month? Whatever day you choose we know that preparations are being made for that magical moment several months in advance. From finding the perfect setting, choosing the flowers, getting the guest list together, buying your perfect princess gown, and of course planning the after party.

The Green Bride Guide has a wealth of information to help make your day what you always dreamed about. Launched in 2009 by environmental lawyer Kate Harrison after her book, The Green Bride Guide, How to Create an Earth- Friendly Wedding on Any Budget.

The site is the leading resource for eco-friendly wedding ideas, product and services. The Green Bride Guide directory has over 1,500 green wedding service providers, such as restaurants that serve local, organic food and limousine companies that use hybrid vehicles. Its Green Wedding Shop has a large selection of eco-friendly wedding invitations, favors, and reception decor and the site's Green Wedding Gift Shop & Registry has over a thousand home goods hand selected for their quality and environmental savings.

Let's not forget the funnest part of planning a wedding, creating your gift registry. The Green Bride Guide has a large variety of gifts to help the eco-friendly couple make their new home together. From Recycled Glass Wine Goblets to Soft Bamboo Bath Towels. I was sent a sample of the lovely gifts you can purchase on the Green Bride Guide.

One of these gorgeous Beechwood Bird Kitchen Utensils. Sold in sets of 4 or 6 they are almost too pretty to use, but you can. They are made with responsibly harvested and renewable wood and have been laser engraved so as to ensure that the artwork on each utensil will not fade. I absolutely love these.
