Sebamed Lip Defense Review

You may recall a couple of months ago I reviewed Sebamed's Hand & Nail Balm.  I was also given the opportunity to try another one of their products, Sebamed's Lip Defense Lip Balm w/ SPF 30.  Like their hand & nail balm I love this lip balm. It is very soothing and really works! I also love that it has such a high sun protection, especially now that we are living in sunny southern California.

Sebamed Lip Defense smoothes dry, chapped lips and leaves them feeling soft and supple. The dermatologist-tested Sebamed Lip Defense formula features triple protection, leaving you with complete lip therapy. The lip balm regenerates with Vitamin E and chamomile extract, nurtures with essential plant extracts jojoba and rice bran, and defends with both UVA and UVB filters.

Because of the added SPF in this lip balm it was great to have on hand during the summer and I used it pretty much everyday. Now with colder weather heading our way this is going to be nice for dry chapped lips. The entire Sebamed skin care line is 100 percent soap and alkali-free, paraben-free, biodegradable and recommended by dermatologists. Navitas Review and Giveaway

I workout a lot and my eating habits...Well, lets just say are not as healthy as they should be to keep my body at it’s best. My unhealthy cravings get worse during my crazy schedule and change in fitness schedule. My crazy cravings often lead to a quick snack filled with sugar or salt or carbs, but what I need instead is a much healthier grab-and-go snack I can carry around with me. I need something like the Navitas Power Snacks I recently had the opportunity to try.

All the ingredients in the new organic Navitas Power Snacks are certified organic and raw. They are also not filled with artificial colors and flavors. They are dairy free, GMO-free, gluten-free, vegan and are packed with fiber, antioxidants and many other wonderful beneficial ingredients.

What I received: an 8 oz. bag of Cacao Goji Power Snack and an 8 oz. bag Blueberry Hemp Power Snack. Of the two flavors, I preferred the Cacao Goji to the Blueberry but the blueberry was good too. I was also sent a BPA-free Camelback water bottle celebrating the "Smoothment" program. I love this bottle and use it daily at the gym and everywhere else I go. The design is attractive. The top with lift spout and straw makes it a perfect for on the go water bottle.

The power snacks come in bite sized pieces in resalable bags and I like that. It makes it easy to grab, eat and go. I can taste the date flavor emphasis in the bites sizes, but this isn’t a bad thing. It just a new flavor that took me a little getting use to and when I did I couldn’t stop snacking on them. When it comes to food, texture in the food is really important to me. Food, especially snacks, especially healthy snacks, have to have a bit of a crunch, need to be moist and easy to eat without crumbling all over the place. I was pleasantly pleased with the textures of these bite size snacks. They have a soft, chewy consistency to them with a nutty crunch texture to them.

The only thing I regret is not joining the Smoothment. I went through the power snacks too fast to try and make a smoothie, but looking at the brochures sent to me with the samples, I am really interested in trying the Choco-Maca-Nana Shake energy smoothie (even the name is energizing) and the Tropical Detox Smoothie. The good news is I can shop for Navitas products I need to make these blends at my local HEB.

The two products I received are the Acai Smoothing Serum and Acai Deep Conditioning Masque.

The Acai Smoothing Serum is meant to be used daily. You apply a small amount on towel dry hair after washing and leave in and style as usual. I tried this on my hair and initially thought it felt a little too heavy and I was concerned it would leave my fair feeling greasy. After blowdrying my hair I was surprised at how soft and straight my hair was. Typically if I want to get super straight hair I pull out my flat iron. I did not need to do this when using this serum. I even let my mom try it out and she was super impressed. This is an awesome product.

The Acai Deep Masque is meant to be used twice a week. You apply on wet hair and leave on for 10 to 20 minutes and then rinse out. This stuff is like the mother of all hair conditioners. In fact I have stopped using a daily conditioner and only apply this twice a week and love how soft my hair is. These products are really great top quality, I can only imagine how impressed I would be after going in for a professional Brazilian Blowout treatment.

Real Technique Brushes

 

Real Techniques Brush Line

1st off because I am a Senior Makeup Artist for a major cosmetic line with amazing brushes , I went into this review with high expectations ! Typically when you see cosmetic brushes at such low cost you get really skeptical on the actual performance of the brush . You get hairs that fall out , the weight of the brush is really light , giving you no control with your product or blend ability . HOWEVER I was remarkably surprised at how beautiful the brush was & most importantly , its performance !

I didn't just review this brush (Expert Face Brush Average cost $9.00) I put this brush to work ! When The Real Techniques Face Brush came in the mail , I immediately added it to my brush belt & headed out to a few photo shoots.  To my surprise I used this brush with ease, I pumped a few pumps of foundation on my pallet & blended it out with this brush ..Smooth finish , no lines & it gave a flawless finish and made her face ready for print!

My advice to you ladies is to pick up a few sets of these brushes ! The average cost for a basic set     (3-4 brushes) is $19.00 ...That is the cost of 1 brush ! The collection is suitable for a wide range of products and every makeup need – from powders, creams, and liquids to mineral makeup, highlighter, and shimmer.

Brush names on the handles make for easy reference when creating your favorite look.
