Brazilian Blowout Haircare Collection Review

I am sure you have heard about the Brazilian Blowout that is all the rage with celebrity's. Rather then your typical hair straightening treatment that leaves your hair super straight, the Brazilian Blowout leaves your hair full of volume and body but without the frizzies and flyaways. You are left with beautifully manageable hair for up to 12 weeks. You can wear your hair wavy or curly, or you can even go super sleek with the help of just your blowdryer, no brush or flat iron needed.  And with Brazilian Blowout hair products you can even get frizz free, shiny, and effortlessly manageable hair without heading to the salon. They also have a line of aftercare products if you decide to visit a Brazilian Blowout salon near you.

All products are specially formulated to promote frizz-free, healthy hair; while delivering stick straight tresses, added definition, increased shine, or a boost in volume.

Even though I have never received a Brazilian Blowout in-salon treatment I did receive two products from their aftercare line for review. The aftercare line is designed to help extend the life of your professional smoothing treatment.

Brazilian Blowout aftercare products infuse the hair with an exclusive blend of native smoothing and sealing properties incorporated into a proprietary Brazilian Super-Nutrient Complex. This complex allows for a continual and cumulative smoothing effect to occur while the hair is washed and styled in between professional treatments.

The two products I received are the Acai Smoothing Serum and Acai Deep Conditioning Masque.

The Acai Smoothing Serum is meant to be used daily. You apply a small amount on towel dry hair after washing and leave in and style as usual. I tried this on my hair and initially thought it felt a little too heavy and I was concerned it would leave my fair feeling greasy. After blowdrying my hair I was surprised at how soft and straight my hair was. Typically if I want to get super straight hair I pull out my flat iron. I did not need to do this when using this serum. I even let my mom try it out and she was super impressed. This is an awesome product.

The Acai Deep Masque is meant to be used twice a week. You apply on wet hair and leave on for 10 to 20 minutes and then rinse out. This stuff is like the mother of all hair conditioners. In fact I have stopped using a daily conditioner and only apply this twice a week and love how soft my hair is. These products are really great top quality, I can only imagine how impressed I would be after going in for a professional Brazilian Blowout treatment.

I am curious to hear if any of you have ever had a salon Brazilian Blowout? Leave me a comment if you have and tell me about your experience.

Real Technique Brushes

1st off because I am a Senior Makeup Artist for a major cosmetic line with amazing brushes , I went into this review with high expectations ! Typically when you see cosmetic brushes at such low cost you get really skeptical on the actual performance of the brush . You get hairs that fall out , the weight of the brush is really light , giving you no control with your product or blend ability . HOWEVER I was remarkably surprised at how beautiful the brush was & most importantly , its performance !
I didn't just review this brush (Expert Face Brush Average cost $9.00) I put this brush to work ! When The Real Techniques Face Brush came in the mail , I immediately added it to my brush belt & headed out to a few photo shoots.  To my surprise I used this brush with ease, I pumped a few pumps of foundation on my pallet & blended it out with this brush ..Smooth finish , no lines & it gave a flawless finish and made her face ready for print!
My advice to you ladies is to pick up a few sets of these brushes ! The average cost for a basic set     (3-4 brushes) is $19.00 ...That is the cost of 1 brush ! The collection is suitable for a wide range of products and every makeup need – from powders, creams, and liquids to mineral makeup, highlighter, and shimmer.
Brush names on the handles make for easy reference when creating your favorite look.
Add these to your Christmas list ! You can find them online at Real Techniques  where there site offers you step by step tutorials & trend techniques. You can also find them at your local ULTA retail store !
Follow them on FB too !

Luden's New Moisturizing Drops and Chloraseptic Warming Sore Throat Spray Review and Giveaway

CLOSED

Winner 25 Jackie

You may recall several months ago I posted a review for Luden's Vitamin C Drops and Chloraseptic Throat Spray. Well, I recently was given the opportunity to review Luden's and Chloraseptic's newest products.

Luden's Moisture Drops
For temporary relief of minor discomfort and protection of irritated areas in sore mouth and sore throat.

These Moisture Drops in Kiwi Strawberry flavor can be used by adults and children 3 years of age and older. They help soothe the discomfort of dry mouth caused by illness or allergies. Unfortunately I have both indoor and outdoor allergies. At times they can be pretty severe. One of the things I am allergic to is dust mites and it gets really bad whenever I clean. That sounds like a good excuse not to clean right? Wrong. I am a stay at home wife and mom and unfortunately cleaning is a big part of my job description. When my allergies start acting up I have several symptoms and one of them happens to be an itchy irritated throat and dry mouth. Since moving to Bakersfield, where we  don't have the best air, I have noticed this symptom coming on a lot more. As a matter of fact as I type my throat is is acting up again. Fortunately for me I have Luden's Moisture Drops on hand. They are really good at helping my throat feel better and relieving the annoying dryness. Not to mention hey taste pretty good. These have really been great to have around and I will definitely be keeping them in stock in my medicine cabinet.

Chloraseptic Warming Sore Throat Spray
Referred to as “hot tea on the go,” like all Chloraseptic products, it provides immediate relief of sore throat discomfort, with the added benefit of a warm and soothing feeling.

Fortunately I have not had the need to use this product, but I know how good a warm cup of tea feels when I am sick with a sore throat. This sounds like the perfect thing to have around when you are suffering from an icky cold. It is available in a honey lemon flavor which are the two exact things I add to my hot tea whenever I am feeling under the weather. You can sign up online with Chloraseptic to receive a $1.00 off printable coupon for your next purchase.

CupPow Review & Giveaway

Mason Jars or better known as Canning jars are all the rage this year ! Whether you use them to store household supplies or you use them as decorations, either way they are a MUST HAVE ~! As I was searching the Internet , I came across THEE most genius use of my canning jars .. Although they are trendy & super chic to have all lined up in your cabinet , they are not very practical to drink from ....... Well..... CUPPOW has made it possible for us to look good & actually drink out of these jars without spilling it all over.. CUPPOW has created the ultimate sippy cups for adults or if you trust your kids with glass then its great for them as well ! Christmas is also around the corner & what a cool & unique gift to get at such a great cost (Retail $7.99)

CUPPOW - is the solution for easier drinking from a canning jar. The canning jar already makes an awesome platform for a travel mug: it’s easy to clean, made of heat-resistant glass, cheap, durable, and when sealed it doesn’t leak. The only problem is that with their large openings, canning jars are not great for spill-free sipping while on the move. So we adapted it - made new lids that lets us drink like a boss from virtually any wide or regular mouth canning jar. It’s a simple eco-friendly alternative to poor-performing and messy disposable hot cups, and over-built and expensive travel mugs.

So here's the coolest part of this blog review , its also a giveaway ! Ya ! Before CupPow allowed us at Girly GIrl to review there product , I was already a fan & bought a few for myself (Price $7.99) So when they sent me one to review , I decided to give it away to one of our loyal subscribers !
