Sebamed Review and Giveaway

Sebamed has been a leader in skincare with over 50 dermatologist recommended products sold in more than 80 countries worldwide.  Founded in 1956 by Dr. Heinz Maurer (who was a pioneer in the development of soap-free products to address the problems of eczema), the company specializes in skincare solutions for sensitive skin, age defense, acne, baby skin needs, and problematic skin (including eczema and psoriasis), as well as hair care and deodorant products.

I was recently sent Sebamed's Hand and Nail Balm for review.

Sebamed's Hand and Nail Balm is a three-in-one treatment that moisturizes your skin with allantoin, strengthens your nails with keratin, and softens your cuticles with coconut oil. The Vitamin B5-infused formula hydrates the skin and relieves dryness. The balm also employs sodium citrate to stabilize the acid mantle and restore skin to a healthy 5.5 pH.

I am so impressed with this stuff! I am not someone that gets manicures, in fact I don't often think about the look of my hands, but since receiving this hand balm I have been using it daily and I notice my hands feel softer and less dry. I have also noticed that my cuticles look better. This balm is very moisturizing but not in a greasy kind of way, it absorbs quickly and feels great. This has got to be in my opinion one of the best hand creams I have tried. I even had to share with my mom and she agrees with me this stuff leaves your hands looking and feeling better from the first application. For those of you who get gel manicures and have noticed ruined or weakened nails this Hand and Nail Balm will help strengthen those nails and keep your hands looking their best in between manicures.

You can purchase Sebamed products at CVS, Costco, and online at drugstore.com, walgreens.com and sebamedusa.com.

Captain McFinn and Friends Review

Mom's and Dad's do I have a great series of books for you to read to your little ones. Captain McFinn and Friends. It is a series of books that inspire children to make a difference by doing their very best. Each of the books has the characters working together to solve a problem. It also shows children to not bully people around and not to let bullies pick on them.

"Phyllis Cafaro was inspired by her grandchildren to create the magical world of Captain McFinn and Friends. Phyllis Cafaro's goal is to enrich the lives of children by teaching them to respect themselves, others and the world around them. By using a dynamic cast of lovable fictional characters, the stories of Captain McFinn and Friends reach important lessons of life...lessons which hopefully will prevent bullying and initiate positive change, one child at a time."
Also you'll have to check out "Captain McFinn's COME ALONG with The Friend-Ship Band" CD. The Friend-Ship Band music teaches kids lessons about being a friend to others in the world around them.

My daughter and her friends are all are big fans of the books. We had all three books read the first night we had them. She not only loved the adventures that the friends have but also the books colorful and detailed illustrations make for a fun and exciting story. These will be fun books to share with family and friends! My daughter also spends a lot of time listening to the "Come Along with The Friend-Ship Band" CD. It's a favorite of hers to listen to and dance along with.

If you would like to check out Captain McFinn and Friends you can visit their website and see all the fun and adventure they have to offer. You can visit the crew and meet all of Captain McFinn's Friends.

Corkcicle Review

Are you a wine drinker? Do you have problems keeping your wines at the optimum temperature? Did you know that if a wine is kept too cold it can mask all the unique layers of flavors? If it's kept too warm the flavors may become masked by the alcohol? Do I have a product for you.

Corkcicle is a unique type of cork for your wine bottle. Not only does it keep your wine fresh but it also keeps it at the perfect temperature. You simply place your Corksicle in the freezer for a minimum of two hours and then insert into your wine bottle to chill it from the inside out. I love this idea! It's also reusable. Once you finish your bottle of wine you simply remove the Corkcicle, wash and refreeze to use again and again. Corksicle is suitable for both whites and reds.

It keeps your lighter chilled reds at perfect drinking temperatures. And it even brings those heavier room temperature reds down to more suitable drinking temperatures.

And just in case you didn't know, here are the ideal temperatures for different variety wines.

Light Whites (Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose)Upper 40s
Heavy Whites (Chardonnay)Low 50s
Light Reds (Pinot Noir, Beaujolais)Upper 50s
Medium Reds (Merlot, Cotes, du Rhone)Low 60s
Heavy Reds (Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Shiraz/Shirah)Mid 60s

Corkcicle makes a great gift for any wine enthusiast, especially paired along side their favorite bottle. You can purchase Corkcicle online.

Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit Review

If you follow my personal blog then you may know that I love packing fun lunches for my little girl Penelope. I am always on the prowl for a new container to fill with yummy edibles. Rubbermaid recently introduced their new LunchBlox and I was given the opportunity to review one of these lunch kits.
  • Saves space and stays organized in your lunch bag
  • Includes a specially designed Blue Ice pack that keeps lunches chilled on the go
  • Containers are perfectly portioned for lunch foods commonly carries away from home
  • Containers are microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe
  • Containers are BPA free
I immediately loved the new LunchBlox Sandwich Kit. First of all I love the different sized containers. There is a large container perfect for a sandwich, and then a half sized container to fit in some fruit or a salad, and two small containers that work great for portioning out some healthy nuts or even a treat like cookies or chips. The Blue Ice pack is great for keeping your lunch fresh and cool and to top it off all the pieces snap perfectly together for a neat, space saving fun lunch.

Here is a lunch I packed up for Penelope to enjoy. She is always so excited to get her "surprise lunches" in different containers that she can open up and munch on.

The possibilities are endless. What will you pack in your LunchBlox?

My only criticism on this new Rubbermaid product is I wish it came in more colors. I would definitely buy a few of these. You can purchase this online!

Wittlebee

Hey everybody! Have you noticed the advertisements around the Internet for Wittlebee? I did and after doing the math I realized the clothes came out to just a few bucks a piece. For $39.99 a month (shipping is included) you can get a box of 6 articles of clothing tailored to your child's age, clothing size, style, color preferences, etc. You can even speak with a stylist about what clothing you want for your child or leave notes for a stylist if you're a phone-aphobe like me. The best part is that you won't know what you actually get until it arrives at your doorstep but it is all based on information you input in your profile.

I love surprises! I thought I'd give it a try. The only downside, in my opinion, is they don't do clothing larger than 5/6 so I can only get clothes for my two youngest (I alternate months between Judah and Zoe by updating my profile every month). I hear rumor of them offering bigger sizes as the company grows and expands.

We've gotten two boxes thus far, three if you count the one that just shipped for us this month but I haven't gotten yet (squee!). The clothing is mostly name-brand and higher quality and brand new. It comes to $6.67 per article of clothing (and remember shipping is included in the price so each piece of clothing is probably closer to $5 each!).

Judah's June Box
You may notice Judah has 8 items; Wittlebee recently reduced the number of items received to 6 in order to provide bigger brand names. They started off as a company that wanted to help families build their fast-growing children's wardrobe with *basics* but it has evolved into so much more. People want more graphic tees, colors, outfits, etc. and not just tights, socks, undies or a plain t-shirt.

Check out all the customer boxes from this summer on this Wittlebee Facebook Album! They are about to roll out fall stuff. It takes up to two weeks to process your order, pack and ship so it's good to start thinking ahead to new seasons.

I have found that the more satisfied customers are the ones who chill out and relax about the details. I don't need to give the stylist a huge laundry list of likes and dislikes. I keep it simple and have fun with it. On this box, for example, I mentioned that Zoe loves every color and that she is a very small 3T (so they wouldn't send 3T-4T sizes) and that we love girly skulls.

So far we haven't been disappointed! If you're already spending money on clothing every month you might as well save time, energy, gasoline, stress with dragging children out of the house, etc. and sign up. It's super fun!!! And the great news is you can also skip a month if you find you need a break.

Please use THIS LINK for $10 off your first box. Each household can have two boxes at a time (they are working on organizing things better in regard to that but for now I think you have to order them separately).

This is not a paid advertisement. I pay for my Wittlebee subscription myself.

You may recall a few months back I was given the opportunity to review the new line güd by Burts Bees. Since then I have been seeing these products everywhere and why not, they are great. They smell wonderful (I use my Body Mist everyday), the packaging is fun, the price is right, and like all Burts Bees products these contain no parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals and are never tested on animals!
