Wittlebee

Hey everybody! Have you noticed the advertisements around the Internet for Wittlebee? I did and after doing the math I realized the clothes came out to just a few bucks a piece. For $39.99 a month (shipping is included) you can get a box of 6 articles of clothing tailored to your child's age, clothing size, style, color preferences, etc. You can even speak with a stylist about what clothing you want for your child or leave notes for a stylist if you're a phone-aphobe like me. The best part is that you won't know what you actually get until it arrives at your doorstep but it is all based on information you input in your profile.

I love surprises! I thought I'd give it a try. The only downside, in my opinion, is they don't do clothing larger than 5/6 so I can only get clothes for my two youngest (I alternate months between Judah and Zoe by updating my profile every month). I hear rumor of them offering bigger sizes as the company grows and expands.

We've gotten two boxes thus far, three if you count the one that just shipped for us this month but I haven't gotten yet (squee!). The clothing is mostly name-brand and higher quality and brand new. It comes to $6.67 per article of clothing (and remember shipping is included in the price so each piece of clothing is probably closer to $5 each!).

Judah's June Box
You may notice Judah has 8 items; Wittlebee recently reduced the number of items received to 6 in order to provide bigger brand names. They started off as a company that wanted to help families build their fast-growing children's wardrobe with *basics* but it has evolved into so much more. People want more graphic tees, colors, outfits, etc. and not just tights, socks, undies or a plain t-shirt.

Check out all the customer boxes from this summer on this Wittlebee Facebook Album! They are about to roll out fall stuff. It takes up to two weeks to process your order, pack and ship so it's good to start thinking ahead to new seasons.

I have found that the more satisfied customers are the ones who chill out and relax about the details. I don't need to give the stylist a huge laundry list of likes and dislikes. I keep it simple and have fun with it. On this box, for example, I mentioned that Zoe loves every color and that she is a very small 3T (so they wouldn't send 3T-4T sizes) and that we love girly skulls.

So far we haven't been disappointed! If you're already spending money on clothing every month you might as well save time, energy, gasoline, stress with dragging children out of the house, etc. and sign up. It's super fun!!! And the great news is you can also skip a month if you find you need a break.

Please use THIS LINK for $10 off your first box. Each household can have two boxes at a time (they are working on organizing things better in regard to that but for now I think you have to order them separately).

This is not a paid advertisement. I pay for my Wittlebee subscription myself.

OcuFresh Eye Wash Review and Giveaway

OcuFresh
Eye Wash
Closed
Winner #40
A few years back during Christmas I woke up thinking that I had pink eye, something all of use have had at one time or another. It is very common and I had actually had it enough times already I would just get drops and rinse my eyes out really well for a few days and it would go away. Unfortunately that time it wasn't just pink eye. Long story short I must have scratched my eyes some how and I ended up with two cornea abrasions. It was scary and I could have lost my eye sight. Since then I am very careful with my eyes.

OcuFresh offers a variety of eye care options for everyone.  I was excited to have them around to try. I own my own business working with wood which causes a lot of dust so I have to be extra careful about protecting my eyes.

OcuFresh has a nice eye wash that has really come in handy and I have been using it regularly. In fact all of the OcuFresh products have been great!  I got something in my eye one day and the eye cleanser worked wonderful to rid my eye of it. The eye lubrication product is also a a nice product. I have been keeping it by my bed at night because I have really dry eyes and sometimes I wake up at night and my eyes are killing me. One application of the drops and my eyes feel better and I can go back to sleep. I've also been taking the Eye Vitamins and I'm not sure if they are working but I like to know I'm going that extra step to take care of such an important part of my body. I also received some contact lens drops but since I do not wear contacts I gave them to a friend that does.  She loves them! She said that she prefers OcuFresh to the previous brand of drops she was using and will continue to use them.

All  OcuFresh products are gentle on your eyes and preservative free. I think that every family needs to keep an eye care kit in their homes. It's important for those times when we get something in our eye or if we scratch them to treat them the best way we can.

Win a tote bag filled with soothing, refreshing eye care products (a $50 value) from Optics Lab the maker of OcuFresh (www.ocufresh.com).

OcuFresh is the safe choice for cleansing your eyes!  It is great for easing seasonal allergies, calming chlorine-irritated eyes and fixing beauty blunders. OcuFresh from Optics Lab is a Summer must have - the perfect pick me up for your eyes after a day of sun, sand and surf!  And all four products from Optics Lab come in a travel-ready boater-style bag - easy to re-use for Summer road trips.

To Win: Tell me why you would like to win. You can get an extra entry by liking OcuFresh on Facebook and as usual you can also get extra entries for following GGG through GFC, Subscribing via email, liking us on Facebook and following via Twitter

This giveaway will end on August 13, 2012 . I will choose the winner using Random.org. Please leave a valid email address if it is not visible in your profile. US entries only.

Tooth Tissue Review

Tooth Tissues
Dental Wipes
Our children's teeth are very important but we usually wait until our child is a toddler before ewe introduce them to a toothbrush. What about babies? Well there are a few products out there but I was especially interested in finding out about Tooth Tissues. Tooth Tissues are a simple way to wipe down your babies teeth as soon as the first little one pops up.

Tooth Tissues are disposable textured dental wipes specially designed to help remove plaque from your baby and toddler’s teeth and gums. Tooth Tissues are perfect for busy new parents eager to get their child off to a healthy start. Use Tooth Tissues with confidence! They are N.P.A. certified, natural, fluoride-free, paraben-free, and contain xylitol.
From the ADA
A Reminder to Parents: Early Dental Visits Essential to Children's Health
  • Begin oral care early. Wipe the baby's gums with a wet washcloth or a clean gauze pad after each feeding.
  • Babies and toddlers should finish their nap time and bedtime bottles before going to bed. Never allow your baby or toddler to fall asleep with a bottle containing milk, formula, fruit juices or sweetened liquids OR a pacifier dipped in sugar or honey.

I have found that these Tooth Tissues are very useful. I started by using them with my son who is 19 months. He has a tooth brush but he likes playing with it more then using it. So the Tooth Tissues are great to use on him after meals or before bed. Plus because the tissues come in a small pack small they  fits in my purse nice and I can use them when we are out after every feeding. I have even used them on my daughter who is 4 when we have been out all day and she hasn't brushed her teeth.
These are great! I think that every mom should have these on hand. In addition these are great for those long days when your child falls asleep before brushing. You can easily wipe their teeth clean without wakening them up.
If you would like to find out more about Tooth Tissues go to their website www.toothtissues.com .

Sea Buckthorn Review

Sea Buckthorn
What is Sea Buckthorn? I asked myself the same thing when I first heard of it.
Sea buckthorn is known as a panacea, or cure-all, in many parts of Eastern Asia and Russia. It’s been used for thousands of years to treat all sorts of health issues and illnesses. With modern science and the history of trial and error that made sea buckthorn popular in the first place, we’re now uncovering the true health benefits of this super fruit.

After hearing all of this I was very interested to see how it worked and what it could do for me. I received Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil and Sea Buckthorn Oil Blend omega-7 complete. In reading about them I have learned that they could be very useful for many different things most of all skin which I have a lot of problems with and I was interested to see if it would help. I have very dry sensitive skin which bothers me a lot and I would do anything to help mellow that out.
Sea buckthorn has an impressive nutritional profile that indirectly heals and fortifies the entire body. With 14 essential vitamins, omega’s 3, 6, 9, the rare omega 7, super charged anti oxidants, hundreds of other nutrients, and anti-inflammation properties; Sea buckthorn is THE supplement to be taking. It’s as if one combined fish oil with a multi vitamin/mineral all from one fruit. To make matters better, this is vegan friendly. It’s just a fruit with almost everything the body needs!

Health Benefits:

Well Since I have been taking my Sea Buckthorn I have seen many different improvements in my body. Besides just feeling all around great I can see a big difference in my skin. I am not using as much lotion during the day because I have less dry skin. My skin feels healthy and moist. This is the most important part for me because I struggle with itchy dry skin and I have had a lot less out breaks since using Sea Buckthorn. I think this product is definitely worth giving a try for anyone not just people with skin problems. I feel healthy and strong and will keep using it.

Next I am hoping to try their Body Lotion and Facial Cream. If they have as much of an effect as the Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil and OMEGA-7 Complete I am going to love them. I think that you should go to their website today and check them out! http://www.seabuckwonders.com/

Dr. Tabor's Slim & Beautiful Diet 7 Piece Sampler Kit Review

Healthy Directions is a leading health publisher and provider of doctor-formulated nutritional supplements, skincare and diet products. Their website offers consumers access to a wealth of information on how to prevent, treat, and/or cope with common health conditions and ailments that affect Americans. These include heart disease, diabetes, digestion issues, arthritis, hormonal issues, and aging. This information is provided by Healthy Direction doctors who are leaders in the field of alternative and integrative healthcare.

One of the Healthy Directions doctors is Dr. Aaron Tabor. Dr. Tabor has devoted his career to researching and developing scientific and medically based anti-aging solutions. Including skincare therapies and weight-control products. He is the creator of the Slim & Beautiful Diet, a diet clinically tested and based on solid science that lowers your daily calorie intake while burning more calories with physical activity. The diet includes protein shakes, bars, snacks, and cakes.

I was provided with the Slim & Beautiful Diet 7 Piece Sampler Kit for review.  The kit includes 2 protein bars (chocolate peanut butter and yogurt almond), 2 protein shakes (chocolate and Vanilla), and 3 bags of Crispy Lace Non-Naughty Nibbles (cheddar, barbecue and salted).  By following the recommended low calorie diet plan and exercise plan it is possible to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week.

I attempted to follow the diet plan for a week but I found it too restrictive, but it may work for you. That's why I think this 7 Piece Sampler Kit ($15.99) is  a nice way to sample these products and diet.  So what did I think about the products included in the kit?

Diet Protein Bars- I tried these protein bars and I have to be honest and say they were not my favorite. They were a bit tasteless and the texture was grainy. I had to force these down but I do admit I wasn't hungry anymore after eating one of these. The good thing about these bars is they contain 300 milligrams of calcium to help support strong bones. They are also nice for snacking when you are on the run.

Diet Protein Shakes- I was new to protein shakes when I tried these. I know a lot of people swear by them but I found these too be a little on the chalky side. That being said I was able to drink these up no problem and they left me feeling quite full. I did prefer the chocolate over the vanilla. Each shake also contains 600 milligrams of calcium.

Crispy Lace Non-Naughty Nibbles- These snacks are baked not fried and contain only 100 calories per serving and 7 grams of protein. These reminded me a little of Chex cereal. I am a big salty crunchy snacker and I was hoping these would be a better alternative to satisfy my cravings. Unfortunately I did not enjoy these at all. In fact I found they made my cravings worse!

I know I haven't exactly given these products rave reviews, I understand this is a diet plan, maybe I am just not a diet person. I like my food too much. :) I do believe that everyone is different though and this program might just be what you need to kick start your weight loss and healthy living. Be sure to check out the other products and options at Healthy Directions.
