Bummas Review and Giveaway

CLOSED
Winner- #42

It is very important to keep our little baby bums dry and rash free so I started searching for a cloth wipe because they are gentle and not to mention eco-friendly. I found some cloth wipes but they were a little scratchy and more like a washcloth, my search continued... and then I found Bummas and after reading about them decided to give them a try.
How to Use Bummas:
  • Grab a bumma cloth before opening the diaper. Sneak “attacks” are frequent and will happen the second your mind wanders!
  • Place the bumma over the privates while tending to the other parts. One bumma will soak up an entire pee.
  • Clean up baby with a regular wipe or wet a bumma and clean up sensitive skin.
  • Use another bumma to thoroughly dry baby off. Re-diaper.
  • If the cover bumma gets soaked rinse it off and throw it in the wash.
The payoff- a dry bum, no diaper rash, and no surprise squirts. Save money on diapers, powder, and ointment. You can wash them and use them again and again.
Bummas sent me The Wild Ones and they did just what they said they would. The cloth is very soft, they come in fun colors, and are small which work perfect for a diaper wipe. These have been great to use for keeping my little guys bum clean. They also work very well for cleaning up faces and hands after eating. I think Bummas should consider making a size larger specifically for messy faces. Bummas is a product I will continue to use over and over again.

Emergen-C Kidz Review and Giveaway

CLOSED
Winners- #15, #18, and #3

There is a new Emergen-C vitamin drink mix available and this one is specifically formulated for kids. The new Emergen-C Kidz offers all of the fizzy goodness of the original in three naturally delicious kid-tested flavors — Fruit Punch, Orange, and Grape. Each pack provides key vitamins and nutrients, which can help support an active kid’s lifestyle. I know it can be a challenge to make sure that your kids are getting the nutritional health and immune system support they need, let alone in a way they actually enjoy, so this is a fuss free way to get your kids to drink their vitamins!

I was given all three flavors of Emergen-C Kidz to review and was very excited to put them to the test with my little girl Penelope. As I expected she loves these and regularly asks for them. What is her favorite flavor? Orange! I love how easy it is to get her to drink this beverage. She thinks she is getting a special treat and has no idea that she is actually getting healthful drink. Perfect! These are a great way to get your kiddos immune system up as they go back to school and catching a cold or flu becomes more likely. Just be sure to stir the mix into water and not shake. These drinks are carbonated and unless you want to clean up Emergen-C off the ceiling you will take my advice. (What was I thinking?! :) *Correction* (Emergen-C is not carbonated, rather it's an effervescent powder that fizzes in water for a few seconds before it settles.)

Currently Emergen-C is running a wonderful promotion. For every box sold, Emergen-C will donate 25 cents to Vitamin Angels, helping provide essential nutrients to one child for one year, helping reduce childhood mortality worldwide.  And, parents can help by taking the My Emergen-C Kidz Pledge at Facebook. For every Pledge, Emergen-C will donate an additional 25 cents to Vitamin Angels to help save a life.

Vitamin Angels is dedicated to reducing child mortality worldwide by advancing availability, access and use of essential micronutrients to newborns, infants and children under five. In 2010, Vitamin Angels connected over 24,000,000 children in 43 countries, including the US, with the vital nutrients they need as a foundation for good health. To learn more about global malnutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, and Vitamin Angels' solution for change, visit www.vitaminangels.org.

Want to win a 30 day supply of Emergen-C Kidz? Three Girly Girl readers will get a chance to win 1 box of Emergen-C Kidz each.

TUMMY YUMMIES

~Cinnamon Toast Rolls Ups~

I have found another Tummy Yummies surprise and this one is a great one to make with your kids! I wish I was the one to come up with Cinnamon Toast Roll Ups myself but I found them on Circle B Kitchen. What a great idea though!
My daughter McKenzie and I decided to try and make this one night for an after dinner treat! They were pretty easy to make and McKenzie had fun helping me. The recipe is on Circle B Kitchen website. But the basic idea is that you take fresh white bread and flatten it, cover it in butter, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mix on it and fold, roll and bake. Its that easy! McKenzie liked putting the butter on the bread and sprinkling the cinnamon and sugar!  My favorate part was putting the frosting on the top. Just some powered sugar and milk.
I almost forgot to take a picture of the treats. This was all that was left when I got out the camera and these were snatched up right after this was taken. We're going to have to make these the next time it's our turn to bring treat to play group! Try making these with the kids they'll have fun and enjoy the end result!

Enjoy making and eating these treats!

Sweet Art Factory Review and Giveaway

CLOSED
Winner- #32
Autumn is my favorite time of year the colors of the leaves, the flavors the the season and lots of baking. So I was excited to try out some of Sweet Art Factory's fun decorating ideas!

Sweet Art Factory is an innovative online supplier of baking, decorating and party supplies. Owner and decorator, Jill Foster founded the company in 2008 following the success of her first cake decorating book, "Creative Cakes Anyone can Make." As a busy mom on a budget she created an online company to meet the needs of bakers and decorators looking for products that bring out creativity to make special events amazing.

I ordered a few Cookie Cutters, some White Sugar Crystals, and Petal Dust. The cookie cutters came with a recipe for Sugar Cookies that was really good and the kids loved them! I tried the recipe for the frosting which I didn't think was as successful. The recipe called for Karo Syrup and almond extract. The Karo Syrup made the frosting ball up and the almond extract amount was a little strong. We omitted the Syrup and a little less almond extract in it and it was perfect.

I had my moms group over too decorate the cookies and the moms and kids had a fun time decorating them! Below are the ones that the moms decorated. The kids were a little messier but they did a great job on them. I think their favorite part was using the crystals and of coarse eating them!
This was a fun project to do with the moms group and I cant what to get some more cookie cutters. Sweet Art Factory has over 500 cookie cutters so they have them for any occasion. I have also used the cookie cutters with my daughters lunch. She likes it when I cut out little shapes for her with her food. Sweet Art Factory has so much to offer besides just cookie cutters. Go to their website and check out all supplies for your tasty creations!

Win: If you would like to win 10 Cookie Cutters from Sweet Art Factory go to their website and let us know your favorite cookie cutter!

Bormioli Rocco Glassware

I love this time of year! Fall always brings the start of many festivities to come. From Halloween parties and Thanksgiving feasts to Christmas celebrations and of course the end of the year bash on New Years Eve. I love getting friends and family together to enjoy each others company and good food and the best thing about throwing a party in my opinion is of course the party planning and decorating! Bormioli Rocco is a long standing Italian glassware company that provides quality products at reasonable prices. They have some great products to help bring some style to your next party.

Spice up the décor of your party as you serve your guest beverages in Bormioli Rocco’s colorful "Ypsilon" Jug.  It may be fall, but you don’t have to settle for a dull and drab color scheme. To liven things up a few more notches, mix and match the colors to make the atmosphere more festive.   These can be purchased at Bloomingdale’s for $12.50 each.

As the weather begins to cool down a bit, the yearn for a cup of coffee may increase  as you and your guests seek  that nice warm and toasty feeling.  Serve some cups of Joe in the Bormioli Rocco Oslo Espresso Wire Cups. These can be Purchased in a set of 4 at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $9.99

The holidays are a time for baking and what better way to display your edible creations then with this pretty Bormioli Rocco Ginevra Glass Cake Plate with Acrylic Dome. I was actually sent one of these domes for review and was very impressed with the quality. The thing I love best about this cake dome is that while the plate is made of glass the lid is acrylic which means you don't have to worry about someone accidentally breaking your lid when they are grabbing for the delicious treats inside. This item can be purchased on Amazon.com for $14.88.

Another product I was sent a sample of were these Bormioli Rocco Amadeus Palladio Pilsners. These are perfect for serving ice cold beer or cocktails to your guests. Or you can do what I did and serve the kiddos some fun non alcoholic beverages like virgin Pina Coladas or Shirley Temples. There is nothing better for a kid then being served a delicious kid friendly beverage in a grownup glass. These can be purchased in a set of 4 at Macy’s for $21.99.

In addition to the products I have mentioned Bormioli Rocco also has a number of other glassware to help with all your entertaining. From lavish wine glasses to practical food storage containers for all your leftovers. You can find Bormioli Rocco glassware at the retailers mentioned above as well as other retailers where housewares are found.

Happy Entertaining!

Sock Ons and Dribble Ons Review and Giveaway

CLOSED
Winner- #40
What can be better then something to keep babys Socks Ons. We all know that its hard enough keeping track of socks in the laundry. But when you have a 8 month old baby that is learning to crawl all over the house there's a good chance of his socks coming off. And I can't tell you how many socks I find behind the crib. No worries though someone has come up with a solution and they work.
The company Sock Ons has come up with clever little things that keep those socks on. The garment is worn over the sock and 'locks' it into place with a patent pending design.

Sock Ons have been awarded the baby industries most coveted prize for innovation. Sock Ons are an ingenious and trendy solution to a very annoying problem and are quickly becoming a necessary item that no baby (or sane parent) can do without!

Sock Ons was invented by a mom of five little boys who always lost their socks!

I tried the product on my 8 month old son Grayson and they were a little small. I was sent the smaller size for 0-6 month instead of the 6-12 months. But I got the concept of the product. I had him wear them around the house all day and his sock stayed on all day. Not even pulling or scooting around seemed to discourage this product.

Sock Ons didnt just have one good idea but two. In addition to keeping babies socks secure Sock Ons has found a solution to those soaked baby shirts. Babies drool a lot when they are teething and you can end up having to change your little ones shirt a few times a day. My son is teething right now and has been drooling a lot more then normal. I didnt think that he would let me put the Dribble Ons on him, he doesnt even like bibs. The minute the bib goes on, I turn my back and its off him and he's playing with it. The Dribble Ons didnt seem to bother him. Maybe its because of the soft material used, it feels like it should be part of his clothes. I'm not sure exactly why I wish I could ask him but it worked!

Dribble Ons draw away the moisture with the soft terry cotton lining, whilst being cute and comfortable to wear. Recommended size 0-24m with adjustable popper back.
Together with Sock Ons $5.99 and Dribble Ons $7.99 they make the perfect gift set
and a real fashion statement.

Win: If you would like to win a Sock Ons and Dribble Ons please visit Sock Ons and tell us what your favorite style is. Sock Ons is providing two prizes so there will be two winners!

You can also get extra entries for following Sock Ons though FacebookGGG through GFC, Subscribing via email, liking us on Facebook and following via Twitter.

This giveaway will end on October 5, 2011. I will choose the winners using Random.org. Please leave a valid email address if it is not visible in your profile. US entries only.
