Mama Palooza- Libre Loose Leaf Tea Glass Review and Giveaway

CLOSED
Congratulations! Winner  #37 judy gardner
So what do you prefer coffee or tea? I definitely prefer a nice cup of tea. There is something about tea that is peaceful and  relaxing. I also find the process of making tea from loose leaf teas beautiful in a sense. Maybe because it brings to mind a Japanese tea ritual. I have a beautiful Asian teapot and cups that I love to enjoy my tea in, while my husband who is a coffee drinker has a cupboard dedicated to all his coffee cups and travel mugs. I had never really thought about taking my tea to go until recently when I found out about Libre. Libre makes loose leaf tea glasses that are specifically designed for tea ‘on-the-go’. But this isn't your ordinary looking travel mug this loose leaf tea glass is so pretty.
These glasses have an exterior made out of durable polycarbonate with a glass interior that are both BPA free. They contain a stainless steel filter underneath the lid that makes it easy to prepare your tea while at the office, running errands or simply enjoying at home. You just remove the lid and add hot water, place a couple grams of your favorite loose leaf tea (mine happens to be green tea) in the filter, screw the lid back on, flip the glass over and the steeping begins. Once your tea is ready you remove the lid along with the filter and enjoy your tea wherever you are.
This lovely tea glass would make a great gift for any tea lover. You can even pair it with a variety of loose leaf teas and a scented candle for a relaxing Mother's Day gift. Visit here to purchase this and other Libre products. You can also like Libre on Facebook for some Tea Moments.

Mama Palooza Giveaway - Springvale Soap

Although I am still new around here at Girly Girl, it will not take you long that there are two things that I LOVE: one is pampering products and one is etsy shops. When you combine the two, I often find myself a little bit in love.

Springvale is one of my favorite sources of soaps on etsy. These handcrafted goat's milk soaps are made from scratch using the old fashioned cold process method. The soaps are simple and use the following oils: soybean, cottonseed, olive, coconut, and castor as well as goat's milk. Sometimes she also adds honey, oatmeal, almonds, and/or coconut depending on the "flavor" she is going for.

I love that these soaps really hold up better than many hand-made varieties. They lather up nicely, which is not as common in non-commercially made soaps since usually chemicals are used to get this effect. However, these soaps provide a nice lather and set well between uses.

I was sent a bar of Black Raspberry Vanilla and it smells DIVINE! If you find that you can't make a decision of a favorite, I would definitely recommend this one!

I love the variety of scents that she offers ranging from fruit, floral, food, and themed scents like Twilight and World of Warcraft. She truly has something for everyone!

Mama Palooza Intelligender Giveaway! UPDATED

CLOSED
Winner - #16 LorahD

UPDATED 4/2011: We're having a baby girl!
UPDATED 7/2011 - Baby is NOT a girl! Baby is indeed a boy!!! First sono tech was wrong!

I was recently sent an Intelligender kit to review! The Intelligender kit is a kit you can use as early as 10 weeks to find out the gender of your baby. Now these tests are controversial (because of gender selection) but for women like me they can be fun. They are around 90% accurate. I've had many, many women tell me that it was accurate for them with only 1-2 women saying it was inaccurate.

In the past they've been slammed as a scam and I will admit I've been a skeptic! In the end I think it's just another fun thing to do when passing the time before your sonogram. The science is interesting and with so many accurate results it definitely has its appeal.

So you pee in a cup. Then you draw up your urine in a syringe and add it to a cup that contains the crystals that react to the urine and change it a color distinguishing one gender from another. A girl result is an orange color and a boy result is a dark green color. HERE is a link to some samples.

It was super fun to do and really easy! I had butterflies in my stomach as I waited for the result. It was just so fun and I think it is a great product for entertainment purposes.

My result? It said............ BOY! (Keep in mind I have three girls!)

The girl results, I've been told, are more accurate than the boy results. So it's definitely still up in the air! I'm hoping to get that gender scan the last weeks of April or the first week in May. I WILL update this exact post with the result of my sonogram to see if our Intelligender was correct!

You can buy Intelligender kits online or at your local pharmacies such as Walgreens or CVS and they're also available at Babies-R-Us.

WIN IT:
One lucky reader is going to win her own Intelligender kit! You do not have to be pregnant to enter; would make a fun "Congrats you're pregnant" gift to a friend!
