Getting to know you!

In a little over a month this brand new blog has gone from 0 followers to 121 followers! I'm so eager to get to know you guys and would love to share a little about myself. If you have any questions for me I'd love to answer them; about my life, beliefs, family, whatever!

And I'd love to hear a little about you- what is your name? What are your favorite giveaways? Do you have children? Anything and everything! Tell me a funny story about something recent in your life!

Well my name is Joy and I am about to turn 25 at the end of this month. I have three daughters- Elaina is 4, Abigail will be 3 next month and Zoë is about to turn 4-months old! My husband is Daniel. He recently became a licensed pastor in 2008 and is also a worship leader. He is an absolutely amazing singer!

I am a jewelry maker. I actually have 2 Etsy shops (soon-to-be 3 shops!). You can find them HERE and HERE. I'm currently working hard to revamp the shops, which is why I haven't been writing on this blog very often.

My obsessions in life would be- my children and pregnancy/childbirth. I am what you would call a Birth Junkie! I love reading about pregnancy, birth and watching videos on the subject. I am also obsessed with Stargate (not the new junk but SG-1 and Atlantis).

I love to sleep though it doesn't happen much! Ha ha! I also love chocolate, dancing, singing (in private, ha) and cuddling up to a good chick flick with some homemade popcorn.

A funny story that has happened to me recently is this: I was in the kitchen cleaning up after dinner. My two older girls were in the playroom off of the kitchen. One of them goes whizzing past me into the front of the house and starts counting, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5! Here I come!" They come stampeding back to the playroom to find their sister! On and on this went. At one point Abigail counted only to 3 before she ran back to the playroom and Elaina wasn't hidden yet. Elaina got upset and reminded Abigail to count longer.

As Abby passed by me I told her, "Honey, try to count to 10 and then go find your sister!" She gives me this indignant look and proceeds to count... "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10!" As she gleefully runs past me she proudly says, "I count to 10, Momma!"

So sweet! She really does know how to count to 10 but was too excited about the game to take her time.

And to answer a question I asked you guys- my favorite giveaways to enter are the ones for jewelry! I love me some jewelry!!! Obviously, since I make jewelry. Ha ha!!!

If you or someone you know needs to promote their business or Etsy shop I am open for product reviews and/or giveaways. Please note that no money is exchanged in a product review or giveaway at this time.

How a review works- send me a full-sized sample of your product and I will test it out and if need be my little girls will test it out as well! I cannot review what I don't physically have. The item sent is mine to keep and is a gesture from the company/artist for doing an extensive review for them.

How a giveaway works- you can choose to send a sample to me or not. If not then I will not review your item but simply host a giveaway for you so that a reader may receive a free item or sample from you. The giveaway I host for you is open for a certain amount of time so that I have enough time to promote your business, attract readers to the blog to enter the giveaway and see your business and eventually choose a winner at random who will directly receive your product. You do NOT ship the winning item(s) to me but to the winner. I will choose the winner at random using random.org and pass on their mailing information to you, the business.

Sounds easy! And it is so much fun!!!

How do I work to promote your business?
-I will link up your giveaway during huge online giveaway parties. The more coveted your item the more people that will seek your shop and giveaway!
-Via Twitter and Facebook
-Through special blogs designed to put a huge spotlight on smaller giveaway blogs to increase the amount of visitors
-Word of mouth

Please email me at the email provided on the right sidebar to let me know if you'd like me to review a product and/or if you'd like me to host a giveaway. Please be specific with what you are wanting reviewed and wanting to giveaway. You may also provide a coupon or code for readers during a specific amount of time to increase your chances of gaining business.

I have personally bookmarked shops and business AND have bought from them after seeing their item reviewed on a blog. So if you've got something hot and something people just have to have or even something new and economical then please don't hesitate to allow me to host for you!

Welcome to Girly Girl Giveaways!

As a mother to three sweet little girls it is no wonder I call this place "Girly Girl Giveaways"! However there are no exclusions here. My hope is to review (and giveaway!) products for men, for babies and for the entire family.

Please take note of my disclosure on the right-hand sidebar of the blog. I do not get paid money to put other badges on my blog nor am I paid for any review of any product. Every review is completely honest and is based on my own opinion or that of my family if their testing is required for a product.

For giveaways I will provide a few ways you can enter your name multiple times into a drawing. On many giveaways I've entered there've been so many options to enter that I feel a little overwhelmed. I hope that I can make entering giveaways here as easy as possible.

I will use a random number picker to pick winners. No one is favored or singled out but is chosen at random.

More than likely I will also post about giveaways on other blogs as well, including low comment blogs where your chances of winning are increased.
