Dress up your walls! Stay tuned...

 A few weeks ago, tired of looking at our tan colored bedroom walls, my husband and I decided it was time to paint. After much deliberating on the color we decided on black. I know what you are thinking, really black? But, I had a vision. In my mind I was picturing black walls with some kind of cool accent wall to give it a bit of a modern feel. Maybe a geometric pattered wall paper or something with bright colors to give it some pop. Even though we still hadn't decided on what we were going to do, and despite all the naysayers. We went with it and painted our bedroom black. 

I actually think it looks pretty good. I've always liked things on the darker side and tend to stray from the norm. Still trying to figure out what we were going to do as far as an accent wall, fate sent me a little nudge by way of an email. I really like this mid-century mod wallpaper. It really gives something extra to a clean and functional modern room. 

I also think this simple geometric grid would add a nice contrast to the black walls. 

I think these sepia poppies are beautiful and would look stunning on a bedroom wall.
