ALO Short-sleeve Bamboo T-shirt Review

Hello, GGG readers! I’m back. I took a break for a about a year to deal with some personal issues. My first review on my return is about ALO sports gear. ALO (Air Land Ocean) is an eco-friendly company that carries yoga lifestyle, fitness and active apparel.

About 3 years ago I encountered ALO during a search online for more comfortable, breathable, professional and eco-friendly active apparel to wear to work. I’m a fitness instructor with sensitive skin and an eco-conscious. I needed affordable fitness gear that allowed me to sweat without clogging my pores.

I read the description of the ALO Short-sleeve Bamboo T-shirt and on the ALO Yoga pants, made of similar material. The shirts are made of 67% bamboo lyocell, 29% cotton, 4% spandex jersey. The bamboo wicks away any moisture (it really does) and is breathable (it really is). This sounded exactly like what I was looking for. I noticed the items were on sale for half the price. I had a gift card to use too. So, I took a chance and I bought the pants and the shirt.

Hands down I loved the yoga pants and the bamboo t-shirt. I loved the solid colors of the clothing. I loved the way the clothes fit against my body, not tight, but fit to my curves. I loved the feel of the ALO clothing on my skin. I loved how soft it felt against my skin. It is one of the softest shirts I have ever owned. I love how it allowed my skin to breath and sweat through a workout without clogging up my pores.

I wore the shirt so much I wore it out…sort of. Years later, I still have the t-shirt and the pants. After so many years and so many washes the beautiful light blue color of the shirt has faded and not as attractive to wear to work, but I still wear it around the house. It isn’t as soft to wear anymore either, but surprisingly still softer than most clothing would be after so many washes and years. The yoga pants almost look new. They are still in G R EAT condition and I still use them quite a lot, 3-4 times a week. The fabric has not thinned or lost its elasticity.

About a year or two ago I bought a maroon Short-sleeve Bamboo T-shirt and loved it too, I received a lot of compliments when wearing this shirt. People loved the color and the way it looked on me.

Today my 3rd and 4th Short-sleeve Bamboo T-shirt arrived. The colors are amazing, soft bright solid colors. The softness of the shirts against my skin is…almost like silk. I may be wrong, but they feel even softer than the first two I bought. The fit on my body is perfect. I can’t wait until I start wearing them this week. I know I’ll love them.

My only complaint is the expense. On my budget it is almost impossible for me to afford AOL clothing unless it’s on sale and if I have Amazon gift cards. If ALO wasn’t as expensive as it is I would have an entire wardrobe of ALO clothing: the ALO sports bra, pants, capris, tops, dresses, outerwear, accessories, etc. So, I’m constantly on the look out for really good AOL sports gear deals. I’ve found most of mine on Amazon.com
