Boogie Wipes Review

Boogie Wipes
Every mom deals with boogie noses now and again, and with two kids you can bet when one gets sick so does the other. I think every mom should have a pack of Boogie Wipes in there purse and diaper bag for just those times. I really loved getting the chance to try these. Soon after I recieved my Boogie Wipes both of my kids got sick, of course, and these were much appreciated. Not only do they work on noses but also on the boogies and crusties in their eyes. I am now a big fan of these, they wipe up the mess easy and without the scratchy feeling you get with a tissue. Try them you'll like them too!

Boogie Wipes are made with natural saline to dissolve boogies (mucus) caused by the common cold, allergies or otherwise booger-filled kid moments.
Extra soft, alcohol, phthalate and paraben free, Boogie Wipes are available in Great Grape, Fresh Scent, Minty Menthol and Simply Unscented. Recommended by pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue.

Winner #1 Maria T

Krill Oil is the oil harvested from antarctic krill, a shrimp like crustacean that lives deep in the ocean. Scientists and doctors have discovered that ingesting this oil can have amazing affects on your body including a stronger heart, pain-free joints, a better mood, lower cholesterol, easier menstruation and overall better health.

I was given bottles of Viva Labs Krill oil to review and since I have been taking it religiously everyday. I can't honestly say that I have felt any different since I started taking Krill oil but after reading all the research and hearing about all the health benefits it is something I will continue to take with my other vitamins. NightCare Heel Treatment Kit Review

We are dedicated to providing you products with the sole focus of helping you look and feel your best. We offer skin care for the hands and feet as well as foot comfort products for your shoes. Enjoy!

I had never heard of NightCare products before I was approached to review their Heel Treatment Kit. Being a mom I am constantly on my feet and by the end of the day not only am I exhausted but my feet are tired as well. To top it off I get the added bonus of having dry skin on my heels from standing all day. UGH!

The NightCare Heel Treatment Kit includes a Moisturizing Gel Heel Sock and a 2 oz. tube of Intensive Healing Foot Cream. Together these products are designed to soften dry skin and moisturize with vitamins to help heal and prevent dry cracked heels.

When I received my kit and read over the contents and directions on the box I was initially disappointed. I was going to have to wear socks to bed. Another Ugh! I have this weird thing about feeling like my feet are suffocating if I wear socks to bed. Weird huh? It's very uncomfortable for me and I especially hate my feet feeling hot. When I opened up the box and took a look at the "Heel Socks" I actually felt a little relief. These are like socks, but not. They slip over your feet and have a gel padding that fits perfectly over your heel but your toes are actually not covered. It's like a little sock for your heel. A little soothing and refreshing and moisturizing sock for your heel. The first night I applied the foot cream to my tired tootsies and they immediately felt rehydrated. Did I even need the socks? I went ahead and put them on anyway. Immediately I loved the cool sensation the gel gave my heels and believe it or not these were actually very comfortable to wear. The first morning after wearing them for the entire night I took them off and my heels were no longer dry and actually felt super smooth and soft. I was very impressed. Since then I have been wearing my heel socks about every other day and my heels have never felt better. The lotion is just an added bonus!

Currently you can purchase a NightCare Heel Treatment Kit for the sale price of $20.00. If you are someone that is on your feet all day or just loves a little pampering I would definitely recommend it.
Be sure to check out all the other NightCare products as well.

GreenSmart Review

There as so many Green products out there these days that we have lots of choices. Everything from clothing to bags, you name it. I recently learned about GreenSmart and their fabulous eco- friendly laptop sleeves and after checking out all the styles I had to try one out.

Their mission is to offer bags that make you feel good. Any brand can make attractive bags and be indifferent to the resources it takes to make them. GreenSmart is different. GreenSmart cares. Using eco-friendly materials and socially responsible labor are two of the most significant ways we have to embed thoughtfulness into the design of a bag. Who doesn’t want to see recyclable materials (plastic bottles) turned into something functional and beautiful?
They used to make bags from from polyester, neoprene and nylon. Back in the 20th Century that was the only choice they had for durable fabrics. Along with the new numbers, the 21st Century has offered great strides in material options for bag-making and they try to utilize them exclusively. They hope that their commitment will continue to delight consumers and make a difference.
Here is the bag that I decided on. It's the 16" Markhor, it is fully padded and sized for a 16" laptop, with extra padding in the corners. It also has two zipped pockets on the front and a filling pocket in back. I really could have used this nice bag in college when I was taking my laptop to the library and to class everyday. This is a great bag. It's functional and I feel safe that my laptop is completely protected in it.

With Graduation coming up this would make a great gift for those high school students that are going off to college. They have a variety of styles to choose from. In addition to laptop sleeves and carry bags GreenSmart also carries messenger bags, backpacks and water holders. All of which would also make a nice graduation/going away to college gift. Go Green!

Kusmi Tea Review

I know I have said this before but I love tea. I love trying out new varieties and flavors and I especially love iced tea so I was very excited when I received an assortment of Kusmi's Iced Teas for review.

Kusmi Tea, originating in Russia, blends the finest natural ingredients from around the world, making each tea distinct and exuding sophistication. Over the past 140 years, Kusmi Tea has perfected the art of blending unique teas distinguished by their exceptional flavor, aroma, and quality. Invigorating to all senses, each aspect is glorified by master blenders at Kusmi, ensuring the smallest detail is never over looked.

Their boxed collection of iced teas includes 24 tea bags in 12 varieties. The flavored teas in this collection were particularly chosen because they are delicious when served cold. I have to agree and I was very impressed with the selection of teas.

Detox- Mate, green tea and lemongrass

Anastasia- Bergamot, lemon and orange blossom

Boost- Mate, green tea and spices

Genmaicha- Japanese green tea with popped rice and corn

Label Imperial- Green tea, orange and cinnamon

Kashmir Tchai- Black tea and spices

The Vert a la fraise- Strawberry green tea

The vert gingembre-citron- Ginger-lemon green tea

The vert a la menthe- Spearmint green tea with Nanah mint leaves

Sweet Love- Black tea, guarana, spices and pink pepper

Be Cool- Caffeine free blend, liquorice and peppermint

The vert a la rose- Green tea scented with rose petals

I have really been enjoying these teas. Aside from being refreshing and tasting great they smell wonderful. After opening the first little package and smelling this amazing ginger smell I simply had to open every other little pouch and smell them all. My favorite thus far is the Ginger-lemon green tea. I am looking forward to having a nice tall ice cold glass on a warm summer day. Of course my box of tea bags is almost empty so I will definitely have to purchase some more. I also plan to purchase some different teas suitable for drinking hot since I enjoy a relaxing hot cup of tea as well.

Kusmi teas also come in loose leaf if you prefer and the tins they come in are absolutely beautiful. You can purchase Kusmi teas online and they also have some lovely tea sets that would make a great gift for any tea lover.

MiO Water Enhancer Review and Giveaway

CLOSED

Winners #1 & 6

A couple of months ago I kept seeing coupons and offers for something called MiO. I knew it was some sort of flavored water enhancer but unfortunately I was having a hard time finding it in my local grocery store to give it a try. Well, lucky me because a couple of weeks ago I was contacted and asked if I would like to review two new flavors that were recently added to the MiO lineup. Of course I would! I was sent 2 cute mini bottles of MiO to sample in Lemonade and Blueberry Lemonade.
MiO is a liquid water enhancer that you add to plain water to liven it up a bit. MiO is calorie free, sugar free and free of artificial flavors. It comes in 11 flavors including; Berry Pomegranate, Sweet Tea, Peach Tea, Mango Peach, Orange Tangerine, Fruit Punch, Strawberry Watermelon, Green Thunder Energy, Black Cherry Energy and the latest flavors Lemonade and Blueberry Lemonade. I expect more flavors to come. Each little container of MiO makes approximately 24 glasses of flavored water depending on how much you use per glass. That's the thing I love about MiO. It lets you be in control of how much flavor you want to add to your water. I am a big water drinker but occasionally I do crave a little more. I love that with just a couple of drops in my water glass or bottle I can add just a hint of flavor. I have tried flavored waters in the past and many of them are a little too sweet for my tastes but with MiO I can control the sweetness. I am eager to try some of MiO's other flavors, particularly the Peach Tea and Mango Peach. They both sound yummy. You can purchase MiO in retailers nationwide.

Thanks to Kraft I have 2 bottles of MiO, Lemonade and Blueberry Lemonade to give to two Girly Girl readers.

To Enter: Leave me a comment telling me which flavor you would like to try. You can get extra entries for following GGG through GFC, Subscribing via email, liking us on Facebook and following via Twitter.

This giveaway will end on May 20, 2012. I will choose the winner using Random.org. Please leave a valid email address if it is not visible in your profile. US entries only.

Tummy Yummies

Go Bananas for Peanut Butter!

My kids love bananas or nanas as my 16 month old son Grayson calls them. Bananas are one of kids favorite fruits so why not go bananas with them! Everyday my daughter asks for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch, most days I give in and pair it with some fruits and veggies and she's happy. But the other day I decided to try something new.

"Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana" sandwich, I saw this somewhere and I can't remember where but I thought why not. It was a good idea too, the kids loved it and I even have to say I kind of liked it! So easy to do too!
What you will need:
  • Peanut Butter
  • Banana (Thinly sliced)
  • Bread (I used white
Put Peanut Butter on both sides of bread. Then lay banana slices on one side of the bread, put the two slices together. Then heat pan (spray with Pam or use butter) grill just until golden on both sides! Your done and now you have a YUMMY sandwich!  This is a perfect meal to have your kids help. (You may want to do the grilling part.) Your kids with love it!

My daughter is always wanting me to make trail mixes for her and I always start by looking around for half empty containers of cereal, dried fruit and other small treats. That's how we came up with "Monkey Mix". My daughter came up with the name! It's dried bananas, Peanut Butter Cheerios, marshmallows and chocolate chips (or I think next time Chocolate Cheerios would be better and less messy!) Mmm...mm a fun mix that's a little sweet and so good! It's fun to try out new mixes. If you don't have everything make up your own mix using whatever you have on hand and have the kids help they'll have fun deciding what to put in their mix.

Now last but not least Banana Ice Cream! Yah!

You will Need:

  • Bananas- Freeze sliced bananas for 1 to 2 hours
  • Put Bananas in a food prosessor, blend until smooth.
  • Optional: Add peanute butter, honey, or chocolate!

You are going to love this and the kids are going to have fun helping you! Our family loves ice cream and this is a great healthier alternative to buying ice cream. The best part is you can use up those old bananas you have sitting on the counter.

Hope you like my Tummy Yummies!

~Tracy~
