One of the most fun parts of being a mom is getting to share memories and experiences with my children, like cooking. Curious Chef sent us a wonderful set of utensils to use in our own kitchen to test them out.
We received the 17-piece Measure and Prep Kit. It included measuring cups and spoons, mixing bowls, a stirring spoon, a real timer, stickers and a shopping list!
We got started cooking right away! My kids saw this big box full of colorful utensils and went berserck. They could not wait to be just like Mommy and cook!
We decided to make a birthday cake! Each little bowl that came with the set had lids and they are also different colors and numbered so that you can measure out ingredients into them in numerical order and then dump in the mixing bowl. The wide handles fit their hands and there are no-slip grips because sometimes cooking can get a little messy!
The absolute best part of this set is how educational it is for my children. Everything is a different color so you can say, "Use the red teaspoon to get some sugar" as most toddlers know their colors rather than fractions. It also teaches math and science because they have to measure and the wonderful combination of certain foods creates a wonderful science lesson. "Why does cake go from a liquid to a fluffy solid? Because you add baking soda!" All around this is a fantastic product that fits our lifestyle, works for our kids, educates them and helps us bond as a family!
