Organic India Review

Organic India offers quality organic foods and wellness products.  Their trademark product is a Tulsi (Holy Basil) tea in over 20 flavors. They also offer a variety of herbal supplements to aid in your health and well being. As a Moms Meet blogger I was sent a sampling of products including; Moringa Leaf Powder, Moringa capsules, Joy!, Turmeric Formula and a variety of boxed teas.

Prior to being invited to review these products I had never heard of Moringa. Moringa is considered one of the most complete and nutrient-dense plants in the world. It contains over 90 nutrients, 46 antioxidants and abundant in minerals. It is a super superfood. Having been used for thousands of years to combat malnutrition in impoverished countries, daily use of this supplement can help restore nutritional imbalances and provide your body with the vitamins and minerals it needs. It is suggested to take 1/2 a teaspoon a day of this leaf powder mixed in food, water or juice. Adding it to your smoothies in the morning is a great way to add a healthy boost for the day. I found this is the only way I can enjoy it. I tried mixing it in plain water but it does have a very "green" taste to it that I think is probably in acquired taste. When I mix it in my smoothies or juices I find I can't even taste that it is there. Since I started taking Moringa I find that I have become more "regular". I am feeling less bloated and I also have a lot more energy throughout the day. Moringa is also available in capsule form but I prefer the powder over having to swallow four pills a day.

Joy! is a combination of supplements to help provide energy, vitality and uplift your mood. It is supposed to combat stress, fatigue and depression. I actually gave this to my mom who has been going through some hard times. After reading some positive reviews about the product I am hoping that it gives her the little "lift" she needs.

Turmeric is known as a powerful antioxidant. It supports important blood and liver functions, healthy joints and overall well-being, which is ultimately reflected in a radiant, supple skin. This Turmeric Formula contains turmeric as well as ginger to aid in digestion. It is great for people with inflammatory issues.

The boxed Tulsi teas are my favorite of the Organic India products I received. Holy Basil is said to support he body's immune system and contain healing properties. I am a tea drinker and I think these teas are not only delicious but very calming. The Tulsi Cinnamon Rose tea has a very nice scent and taste. It is the perfect tea to drink before bedtime and aids in a restful sleep. Tulsi Peppermint tea is great for an upset stomach. I enjoy this tea with a little honey and find that it also soothes a sore throat.

ZSS Skincare is nutrition focused skincare that is packed with Zeaxanthin. I was sent Method No.2 for review. Each skin system contains a 30 day supply of both the serum and nutrients. The products are all natural and free of harsh chemicals like paraben sulfates, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances, and dyes.

 

 

 

You get a total of 30 individually packaged daily supplements. The package includes 2 soft gels, 1 capsule and 1 probiotic capsule. The key ingredients in these supplements are zeaxanthin, fish oil, N-Acetyl (an antioxidant) and borage seed oil. You also receive a 0.5 fluid oz. bottle of the serum. The serum is designed to be used morning and night after cleansing.

 

First of all I love that the supplements are conveniently packaged for daily use. It makes it easier to remember to take them on a daily basis. The serum is very lightweight and goes on smoothly. The bottle may seem little but only a small amount is needed for application.  I love that the serum does not have a greasy feeling, rather it absorbs into the skin very quickly.

 

I used my skin system for the total 30 days and found that not only was it an easy skin regimen to follow but I did not have any skin issues the entire time. I am proud to say that at 37 my skin is not showing any signs of lines or wrinkles yet, so I can't really comment on whether these products work for that or not, but I have read some promising reviews all over the web. E! News even featured them as being a favorite among celebrities. The price of the system is a little spendy at $160. When you do the math it is somewhere around $5.00 a day. I guess if you think of it that way it doesn't sound so bad. You can skip your daily smoothie, cappuccino or deli sandwich and treat yourself to better skin instead!
