hello Oral Products Review

 

hello is a line of  products that are not only health friendly and earth friendly but bring a modern twist to oral care. Their line of toothpaste, mouthwash, breath spray and toothbrushes are all made in the USA out of 50% recycled materials. They also contain no alcohol and no artificial colors or sweeteners. They come in flavors like Spearmint, Pink Grapefruit Mint and Mojito Mint.

 

I was sent a toothpaste, mouthwash and breath spray for review.

 

 

The Moito Mint fluoride toothpaste is 99% natural. It comes in a cute stand up squeezable bottle. I love that I can stand this up in my medicine cabinet and it is not in a  typical tube. The toothpaste itself feels great. It leaves your mouth feeling fresh and clean. I love the mellow mint taste with just a hint of lime. I will definitely be buying more of this.

The Spearmint mouthwash also comes in a cute bottle, the cap itself can be used as a cup. My husband did not like the taste of this mouthwash. It has a sour taste when you swish it in your mouth and you only get the spearmint taste after rinsing. The taste does not bother me at all but I think I might try one of the other flavors next time.

 

 

I love how little this breath spray is. I tossed it into my purse so I can freshen up throughout the day when my toothbrush is not available. It closes with an easy twist so you don't accidentally spray your purse when you are reaching in to grab something. The Pink Grapefruit Mint  I received also has a tart initial taste but leaves you with a your mouth feeling minty fresh. I think Pink Grapefruit Mint is my least favorite flavor. I will probably buy this again in Mojito Mint.

I am very familiar with their vanilla extracts with my favorite being their Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract. I use it in desserts and to flavor coffee. Aside from pure vanilla extracts, Nielsen-Massey also has other flavor extracts from almond and peppermint to rose water. They also have pastes, powders and sugars. I was sent a bottle of Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Sugar for review. I was pretty excited because I had not previously tried their sugars. First of all I love the way it is packaged in a glass bottle that resembles an old apothecary bottle. Next the smell! This stuff smells amazing, subtle sweetness with a pure vanilla scent. If they decided to turn this into a body spray, I am not going to lie, I would be the first to buy it. Last but certainly not least, the taste. This sugar is not overly sweet which I love. It's wonderful for adding a little sweetness to coffee and tea. Mix it with cinnamon and it elevates the taste of cinnamon sugar toast to the next level. It would also be great used as a rimming salt for your upcoming Holiday cocktails.

Fragrant Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Sugar gently exfoliates while olive oil moisturizes, leaving skin feeling soft, smooth and rejuvenated.

Vanilla Body Scrub

1 cup Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Sugar 
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 or 2 drops of an essential oil such as lavender, eucalyptus, etc.

Decorative, waterproof container
Mix ingredients together in a bowl.
Spoon into a decorative, waterproof container.
Wrap in decorative paper.

Instructions for use: Apply a small amount to damp skin while in shower or bath. Gently scrub skin with a soft washcloth. Rinse thoroughly.

Celebrate the Holiday's with Running Press

Every year on December 1st I pull out everything we need to countdown the days till Christmas. Among those things are a collection of books that I read to my daughter to fill her mind and heart with Holiday cheer as we remember why we celebrate. I have several books about the birth of Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas as well as fun Christmas children stories about Santa and reindeer's and of course classics like The Night Before Christmas and A Christmas Carol.

This year I was sent two new books to add to our collection; A Treasury of Christmas Classics and Steampunk: Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

A Treasury of Christmas Classics includes three time-honored stories; The Nutcracker, The Twelve Days of Christmas and The Night Before Christmas. This hardcover book is filled with whimsical illustrations that accompany the original stories. My daughter found it on my desk and has already started reading it early. This would make a lovely gift that will be treasured for many years.

Steampunk: Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is the original story containing Steampunk inspired illustrations. Complete with steam powered machinery, a chilling industrial London and ornate mechanical gears. This book also contains two of Charles' Dickens short stories; The Story of the Goblin who Stole a Sexton and A Christmas Tree. This is my favorite of the two books. I love the artwork and the additional stories that I had never before read. Do you know someone who is into the whole Steampunk genre? This would make a nice Christmas book to add to their bookcase.

I have some awesome beauty products to share with you that would make great additions to any Girly Girl's pink stocking.

 
How about some Mineral Fusion Nail Polish? These come in an array of shades and are free of all the icky stuff like formaldehyde, toulene, camphor and dibutyl phthalate. I received Coal Mine for review which is a black with a glitter finish and I love it. This nail polish is long lasting and goes on smooth and covers flawlessly. What about some Milani Cosmetics, like their Bella Eyes Gel Powder that I received for review. These come in several shades from neutral to eye popping like the Bella Teal I received. They also come in several finishes from matte to metallic. I love this eye shadow it glides on smoothly and is long lasting.

The Eye Tech Perfection Liquid Eye Liner I received, I absolutely love. I wear black eye liner a lot but usually do pencils because I have always been a little afraid of liquid. This eye liner is so easy to apply. It has a felt tip that glides on like a pen. It's water resistant and smudge proof. It also comes in brown for a more natural look.

This next one is my absolute favorite and it makes a great stocking stuffer for tweens and teenagers too! eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balms. These come in delicious flavors like Lemon Drop and Strawberry Sorbet, and let's face it every girl needs a good lip balm. I received the Medicated Tangerine for review. It provides anti bacterial protection and soothes dry lips complete with vitamins C and E, shea butter and jojoba oil. I always carry one of these in my purse! You can find eos Lip Balms at your local Target store.

Whish Flawless Swipes are convenient little wipes that help you get the perfect shave. Use them on your legs and underarms to banish ingrown hairs and pesky little bumps. These are made with earth friendly ingredients and do not contain alcohol. No icky smell and no sting! These are a must have, especially if you enjoy showing a little skin now and then.
