Supergoop! Review

It's fall and winter is just round the corner but that doesn't mean you can skimp on protecting your skin. Even though the clouds may be covering up the scorching sun you still need to worry about UVA's that cause skin aging and possibly skin cancer. Yes, even in the snow the sun's rays are reflected onto your skin. No worries though, Supergoop! has got your covered. They have a bunch of products to protect your skin all year around, lip balms and face creams to all over sunscreens in several different SPF's. They also have a sunscreen self-tanning cream so yes, even in the winter you can keep up your summer tan. All Supergoop! products are free of parabens, petrochemicals, and artificial fragrances.

I was sent two products for review, SPF 30+ Everyday UV Lotion for Face and Body and SPF 50 Sunscreen Day Cream.

This is a great all around sunscreen for the entire family. It is safe for even the most sensitive skin. I love that it is light and goes on smooth and does not leave a sticky or white residue. I have been using it on my daughter almost everyday. She loves wearing dresses and it is still warm enough here to wear short sleeves so I make sure to protect any bare skin. This product is even safe to use on infants aged 4 months and up.

This day cream is on the thicker side. It actually leaves a chalky residue on your face and it takes quite a lot of rubbing to get it to absorb into the skin. I think this is meant for extra protection if you are planning on being out in direct sun for a long period of time. I have used this cream a few times on my daughter when she has gone swimming. She has a fair complexion and this has done a great job of protecting her from sunburn.

Smarty Pants Review

You know when it comes to taking a daily vitamin I am really bad about it. I take it for a while and then when the bottle is gone its another few months before I buy one again. On the other hand I am very good about giving the kids their vitamins. Mostly because they are gummy vitamins and they wont let me forget. My 5 year old daughter says its because she needs her vitamins because they keep her healthy. We all know that's true but not why she wants them. They're fun and taste good, but why should the kids have all the fun.

Well Smarty Pants has come up with an adult vitamin that is good, it doesn't have that gross vitamin flavor and its easy to take. You get six vitamin gummies every day. I keep them for my little treat in the after noon. It's like having a pack of fruit snacks with out taking them away from the kids.

Burt's Bees Face Care Review

I am a big fan of Burt's Bees and very familiar with several of their products. I started using the baby products on my daughter when she was just born and continue to use many of them today. I also love their lip balms and glosses. I have used one of their facial washes in the past and even their sunscreen. All of Burt's Bees products have been gentle on the skin and have always exceeded my expectations. When I was given the opportunity to try Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser and Hydrating Day Lotion I was very eager to find more products to love.

The cleanser is very gentle on the skin. It leaves your face feeling refreshed, clean and soft. It does not leave your skin feeling oily nor does it leave a residue. It works great at removing dirt and makeup and it smells wonderful.

Just like the cleanser this day lotion does a great job of hydrating your skin without that greasy feeling or clogging up your pores. Just a bit of this lotion goes a long way so even though the bottle appears small it will last quite a long time.

Both of these products are inspired by and contain the Clary sage plant. Clary sage has the ability to trap and retain moisture and these products were created to mimic this on your skin.

Are you a sunglasses fanatic? My husband is, he owns several pairs of sunglasses, and still, whenever we are out if there happens to be a sunglass shop you can bet we are going in. The man loves his sunglasses! I on the other hand have owned one pair of sunglasses for the last couple of years. I wear them practically everyday (since we moved out of Alaska), and I would be pretty heartbroken if I ever lost them. I received a subscription  to the club for my review. Here are the two pairs I have received thus far.

The first pair I received (bottom) come all the way from Santa Fe, New Mexico and were sent along with a sunglass chain so they won't get lost. To be honest I wasn't very impressed with these and I actually think they look a little silly on me. The second pair I received (top) are called The Precious Gems. I am not sure where these were found but these also are not my style. There is another pair on it's way and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will like them a bit more. That being said these 2 pairs of sunglasses are going to a good home, my tween niece. I think tween and teens would love the idea of receiving a new pair of funky, hip, quirky, fashionable shades to show off to their friends each month. As for adults, both my husband and I think sunglasses are one of those things you have to "try before you buy". I know with my face shape for instance not all sunglasses look great on me. Maybe if there was some way to customize the shades that you'll be receiving. Like when you sign up their could a few questions you answer about your style, face shape, or other preferences and then the people at Stunner of the Month could pick pairs that they think would be suited for you. Or maybe I am just not cool enough, I bet their are some hipsters out there that would love Stunner of the Month. So go check them out if you're curious. Like I said it's only $9 a month and you cancel at anytime, and I am sure that even if you don't like the sunglasses you were sent you can find someone to gift them too that will think they are the coolest things ever.

This gloss is infused with 9 butters and oils that will leave your lips smooth and super soft. One of the things that turns me off about a lip gloss is when it goes on sticky, this stuff does not. It is lightweight and gives your lips beautiful color and shine. It comes in 4 colors and I was sent Inspiring Red, all I have to say is pretty, pretty, pretty. It also helps nourish your lips minimizing the appearance of lip lines and wrinkles.
