The Sims 3 Island Paradise Expansion Review and Giveaway

Winner # 17 moushka

Are you planning a wedding? Thinking about a destination wedding? Or Scoping out honeymoon spots? According to About.com, four of the top seven foreign honeymoon destinations are islands, and 40 percent of honeymooners stay at a resort. Additionally, more than half of the top seven locales for destination weddings are islands. Have I got a fun way to start dreaming about and planning your big event, The new Sims 3 expansion Island Paradise. Yes another game review from this girl, but this one is different! Even you girly girls who are not into gaming will enjoy it. Who doesn't like pretending they are relaxing on an exotic island!? Island Paradise offers Sims players a tropical virtual reality. Experiment with the perfect setting for your special day or plan out your honeymoon vacation.

Not sure if you want a small gathering on a beach pier or at an all out no expenses spared resort.

Want to spend your first married week together relaxing in a secluded beach house or snorkeling in clear blue waters? The Sims 3 Island Paradise will help you decide and have fun while you do. Even if you are not planning a wedding anytime soon you will still have fun with this game. I know I have been and I am happily married with no plans to ever get married again. I've still enjoyed playing pretend and creating a tropical oasis for my family to enjoy. If you are not familiar with The Sims games you may have a hard time figuring it out at first. I have played Sims Pets in the past but this game is a lot more detailed and figuring out the controls and commands can be a bit difficult in the beginning. Let me warn you though once you got it figured out it can be a little addictive. Trust me I have spent my fair share of time exploring the Island Paradise world. I even built myself a beach cottage, learned how to swim, went fishing, and yes I bought myself a cute 2 piece! I would never wear a 2 piece in real life!

So whether you need some wedding or honeymoon inspiration or just want to pretend your living out your dream of living in paradise then this game is for you.

How would you like to win a copy of The Sims 3 and The Sims Island Paradise Expansion Pack?

Bio Follicle Review

If you are a repeat visitor here at GGG then you may be well aware of my hair woes. I have shared in the past about my flat , thinning, lifeless hair that needs to be washed on a daily basis or it becomes an oily mess. UGH! Recently I was introduced to Bio Follicle and their 100% vegan plant derived premium sulfate and cruelty free aromatherapy lavender shampoo and conditioner. They contain no sulfates, petroleum, parabens, silicones, synthetic fragrance, perfumes, artificial colors, formaldehyde, or sodium lauryl sulfate. All the bad stuff that may contributing to my hair dilemma, I was very excited!

The Lavender Shampoo is a gentle, plant-derived formula that thoroughly cleanses your hair while restoring its natural balance, body and shine. The Lavender Conditioner contains an antioxidant-rich herbal blend of therapeutic lavender oil and rich plant base moisturizers. This exquisite formula will restore hair and scalp in harmonious balance with nature, balancing oil production and normalizing both dry and oily hair. It's all natural plant oil extract base with pure therapeutic-grade essential oils repairs damaged hair while the aromatherapy conditioner provides a complete aromatherapy experience.

Let me just say that I loved this shampoo and conditioner. My bottles are long gone but not forgotten, in fact, I plan on purchasing more of this shampoo and conditioner. Initially I was a little concerned about the aromatherapy lavender scent. I am not a big fan of lavender because I usually find it overwhelming. That was not the case here, the lavender scent was subtle and complimented by a fresh and clean smell. The shampoo was very light and almost runny when I poured it into my hand but lathered up really nice despite not containing any sodium lauryl sulfate. It did an awesome job of cleansing my hair and rinsed out easily. As for the conditioner, I normally use it very sparingly and only on the ends of my hair because it tends to weigh my hair down. I did not have this problem with this conditioner. I lathered up my entire head, left it on for the recommended time, and it left my hair feeling silky smooth but not heavy or greasy. I used this shampoo and conditioner on a daily basis and noticed that my hair was easier to manage. It felt great! It also did not get oily as quickly as it usually does. The only thing that would have made this shampoo and conditioner better is if it had made me grow more thicker hair.

I recommend Bio Follicle Lavender shampoo and conditioner for their gentleness and effectiveness. Get all those nasty chemicals out of your shower and try these instead.

You can purchase these products and more at www.biofollicle.com

The Wet Pop Review and Giveaway

CLOSED
Winner #12 rubynreba

Several weeks ago I was given the opportunity to review The Wet Brush. Let me just say that my daughter and I are still loving it. I was contacted by the company again to see if I would like to review one of their other products, The Wet Pop, but of course!

The Wet Brush Pop works it's tangle free magic just like the original Wet Brush, but it's smaller. This cute little round brush closes up like a compact and comes equipped with a mirror. Perfect for on the go styling.

The Wet Pop contains StyleFlex bristles that are firm to smooth out flyaways and are finished with ‘SofTips’ ends that gently massage your scalp to stimulate circulation at the follicle, a proven benefit for hair health.

It also comes in a variety of fun colors so you can find the one that suits your personality. This would make the perfect back to school accessory for your tween and teen. It's small enough so they can throw it in their book bag or backpack and the trendy look will have their friends asking where they can get one.

These sell for $7.00 online. Take it from me, if you want tangle free hair without all the fuss then you should give this a try.

This time I was also given a Wet Pop to share with one of you. One Girly Girl reader will win a yellow Wet Pop of their very own.
