Cold-EEZE Review

Are you planning any traveling this spring and summer? If you are it's almost inevitable that you will catch a cold. Did you know that according to the Journal of Environmental Health Research a cold is 100 times more likely to be transmitted on a plane. My husband is proof that this study is more then likely true. He travels to and from work via airplane every month for two weeks at a time and he has had more then his share of getting ill and subsequently my daughter and I getting ill. Cold-EEZE uses zinc ions to block the cold virus from attaching to the cells in your throat, so you can hopefully stay healthy on and for your next trip. It has been clinically proven that when taken at the first sign of a common cold will shorten the duration of the cold by nearly half.

The Cold-EEZE brand is the #1 pharmacist-recommended zinc cold remedy and it uses natural flavors and has no preservatives or colors. It is non-drowsy, non-agitating and does not affect blood pressure. I was given the New Cold-EEZE Homeopathic Oral Spray in Natural Cherry Flavor for review. It's arrival was at the perfect time as my husband and I were both suffering from a cold. Initially we were both a little hesitant about this product being a spray. I think we both have experience with those throat sprays that numb your throat and taste absolutely terrible. This was what we anticipated with Cold-EEZE having never used it before. I am happy to say this is not a numbing spray for a sore throat. The fact that it is a spray is more for convenience and the taste is actually not bad. I do think this product helped shorten our cold symptoms. This product is made for ages 12 and older which is a bummer because shortly after our little girl caught our cold. I would recommend you keep this product in your medicine cabinet for the next time you start feeling a little under the weather. You can purchase it in grocery stores and drugstores nationwide.

HINT Water Review

Stay hydrated this spring and summer by drinking water not sugar! It's important to drink lots of water especially as the temperatures start to warm up but sometimes plain water can be a little boring. Rather then reach for that soda pop why not opt for something that's refreshing and healthy and will give you a hint of sweetness without all the sugar and artificial flavor.

HINT is pure essence water that has been accented with natural flavor. It contains nothing artificial and absolutely no calories. A wonderful alternative to sugar laden drinks when you are wanting something a little more then plain water.

HINT premium essence water comes in 10 different naturally infused flavors.

Cucumber
Raspberry Lime
Blackberry
Honeydew Hibiscus
Mango Grapefruit
Pomegranate Tangerine
Watermelon
Lime
Strawberry Kiwi
Pear

I was sent a couple of flavors of HINT water to enjoy, Mango Grapefruit and Raspberry Lime. I am a water drinker but I have to admit that  occasionally I do get a craving for something a little sweet. I love HINT water they give me the hint of flavor without all the unwanted additions. HINT water is tasty and does a great job with quenching your thirst. They smell amazing and the flavor is very subtle so you are not overwhelmed with sweetness. I really liked both flavors that were sent to me and I am eager to try some of the other HINT flavors, especially Honeydew Hibiscus and Watermelon. If you have not tried HINT premium essence water then now is the time to go out and pick up a couple of flavors. Check out their store locater for a retailer near you that carries them.

We Bought a Zoo Review

Featuring Family Friendly Audio Track The Whole Family Will Go Wild for this Heartwarming Adventure Starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson On Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download April 3
This Easter, be unpredictable, do something crazy and embrace your wild side!  Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment presents an inspiring adventure based on a true story of one man who brought a zoo back to life and family back together in WE BOUGHT A ZOO, arriving on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download April 3.  Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire) and starring Matt Damon (Contagion, True Grit), Scarlett Johansson (Iron Man 2, Vicky Cristina Barcelona) and Thomas Haden Church (Easy A, Sideways), WE BOUGHT A ZOO is “a sweet-natured tale…that you’ll want to see with your kids” (Liz Braun, Jam! Movies).
Benjamin Mee (Damon) is a Los Angeles newspaper columnist and adventure writer who, as a single father, faces the challenges of raising his two young children.  Hoping that a fresh start and a new life will restore their family spirit, Mee quits his job and buys an old rural house outside the city with a unique bonus feature: a zoo named the Rosemoor Animal Park, where dozens of animals reside under the care of head zookeeper Kelly Foster (Johansson) and her dedicated team.  With no experience, limited time and a shoestring budget, Mee sets out with the support of his family and the local community to reopen the zoo.  Now, Benjamin is no longer reporting an adventure story; he’s living it in his own backyard.
This movie that was based on a true story was a great film to watch with.  I suggest that if you have little ones you watch it when they are in bed as it has some sensitive material. The movie deals with the death of the mother and how members of the family deal with  it in their own different ways. This is a great family film if you have older children. My husband and I really enjoyed it and I think that you will too!

Lysol No Touch Kitchen System

The makers of Lysol recently launched a new product called the No Touch Kitchen System. This new system is designed to simplify your life by being the first hands free dispenser that cleans dishes, kitchen surfaces, and hands all in one. I love convenience products and this is one I was very excited about receiving. Being somewhat of a neat freak I like that this one little dispenser is all I need on top of my kitchen sink to get three jobs done. My husband used to get really annoyed with me because I refused to keep the dish washing liquid on the counter, the bottles just didn't seem very neat and attractive to me. But I love the look of the No Touch Kitchen System and my husband loves that he doesn't have to reach under the sink every time he wants to wash a dish. I also love that it uses a motion sensor to release the soap so there is no worry over your germy hands contaminating the soap dispenser. Even my little girl thinks it's the coolest thing and calls it "magic". She begs to wash her hands in the kitchen sink rather then the bathroom now. The one negative thing I will say about this system is I wish the soap cartridges were refillable. Once the soap is empty you have to throw it out and buy a new refill cartridge. They should make a large bottle of refillable soap available. To me it just seems like it would be more convenient and economical to be able to refill the same cartridge once it is empty.

The Lysol No Touch Kitchen System starter kits are available in Sparkling Tangerine and Shimmering Berry. The starter kit includes: one dispenser, one 8.5oz refill and three AA batteries.
Refills are available in 3 great scents: Sparkling Tangerine, Shimmering Berry, Sunkissed Lemon.
Be sure to look for yours the next time you are out shopping or you can purchase online via Amazon or Drugstore.com.

Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway

CLOSED

Winner #51

A couple of years ago I introduced my daughter Penelope to the concept of recycling. She was only 2 years old then but she would help me collect cans and bottles and take them to our local recycling station. We would use the money we received for a special treat for her. I know that she really didn't understand what we were doing but I believe that teaching good habits from the time children are very young will help them in the long run. Lately we have been a bit lax when it comes to recycling in our home but recently I received a Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler and I have been very excited to put it to use, especially since Penelope is older now and able to grasp what recycling really means.
The first thing I would like to say about the Hidden Recycler is that even though it is meant to be hidden and not seen it is very attractive. So much so that my husband tried to steal it for his car when he first saw it. He thought it would make a nice garbage can for the inside of his Jeep. Unfortunately for him I had other plans for it. It is very easy to install inside your kitchen counter with either hooks or screws that are provided. It is just the right size for underneath our kitchen sink and easy for Penelope to get to and toss our recyclables. It has a convenient handle that makes it easy to carry to your large recycling bin once it is full. The 5 gallon bag holds up to 36 12-ounce cans and easily holds several bottles and even milk jugs. It has a leak proof liner that is machine washable for easy clean up and of course it is made from recyclable materials. This is a great product for your recycling needs and to teach little ones the importance of recycling. Rubbermaid also makes a couple other recycling bins. You can check them out here.
