A couple of years ago I introduced my daughter Penelope to the concept of recycling. She was only 2 years old then but she would help me collect cans and bottles and take them to our local recycling station. We would use the money we received for a special treat for her. I know that she really didn't understand what we were doing but I believe that teaching good habits from the time children are very young will help them in the long run. Lately we have been a bit lax when it comes to recycling in our home but recently I received a Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler and I have been very excited to put it to use, especially since Penelope is older now and able to grasp what recycling really means.

The first thing I would like to say about the Hidden Recycler is that even though it is meant to be hidden and not seen it is very attractive. So much so that my husband tried to steal it for his car when he first saw it. He thought it would make a nice garbage can for the inside of his Jeep. Unfortunately for him I had other plans for it. It is very easy to install inside your kitchen counter with either hooks or screws that are provided. It is just the right size for underneath our kitchen sink and easy for Penelope to get to and toss our recyclables. It has a convenient handle that makes it easy to carry to your large recycling bin once it is full. The 5 gallon bag holds up to 36 12-ounce cans and easily holds several bottles and even milk jugs. It has a leak proof liner that is machine washable for easy clean up and of course it is made from recyclable materials. This is a great product for your recycling needs and to teach little ones the importance of recycling. Rubbermaid also makes a couple other recycling bins. You can check them out here.

Get ready for another fun adventure with the Chipmunks and Chipettes! My daughter loved the story and I know your kids will too! Parents these are the Chipmunks we grew up with but with a little more action and adventure! These little guys are cute and fun and my daughter enjoyed all of the songs that they sing. I really like that they use popular songs because when my daughter hears them on the radio she gets excited and sings along! Get your kids this fun movie and have them up dancing and sing along with the Chipmunks! This is a great movie for the whole family!

Chipmunks ahoy! Its a tidal wave of toe-tapping music and unfurgettable fun for the whole family as Alvin and the Chipmunks return in their greatest adventure yet! While on vacation aboard a luxury cruise liner, Alvin,Simon, Theodore and the Chipettes cant help rocking the boat with their unique brand of 'munk mischief. But things get really squeaky with the gang winds up  stranded on a remote island-and they soon discover their new tropical playground is not as deserted as it seems.

The movie came out today so go out and get your copy! This would be another great movie for the kiddos for Easter!

Good Earth Tea Review and Giveaway

First of all the smell is wonderful I actually inhaled the scent a few times and I knew I was going to love this stuff. This tea was just what I expected a combination of black tea and spice coming from cinnamon, anise, ginger root and peppermint and a hint of sweetness from the orange, chamomile, and papaya leaves and just a wee bit of tang from the lemongrass. It was very good, so good in fact that I had to share some of the tea bags with friends and family. I also tried a cup with a little milk and honey for a little more sweetness since this tea does not contain any sugar and enjoyed it that way as well. It almost tasted like Chai tea this way.

Good Earth has a variety of other teas and all can be purchased in retail stores nationwide. You can also purchase these teas online.

Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencil Review

I was given the opportunity to review celebrity makeup artist Sue Devitt's Eye Intensifier Pencil. The Eye Intensifier Pencil comes in 13 different shades and is water resistant. This eyeliner pencil has a velvety texture that glides on easily and smoothly. I am a big fan of black eye liner and I really love the way this pencil helps me create the perfect lined eye. The opposite end of the pencil is an applicator tip that is suppose to help you get that smoky eye look by blending the liner. Maybe I am just bad at applying makeup because I had a hard time using the applicator to blend the eyeliner. It would just rub off kinda like an eraser. I love the pencil and how simple it is to create that perfect lined eye that doesn't crease or wear off, but I have been ignoring the applicator tip. Maybe I should have our resident makeup artist Loli test it out for me! This eyeliner pencil also contains anti-aging ingredients that help lock in moisture and is gentle on the delicate skin around your eyes.
