Gifts for Mama- Dezign With A Z Review

Dezign With a Z wall decals and wall stickers

Dezign With a Z wall decals develops appealing Vinyl Wall Decals based on designs by young creative and talented Designers from Europe and the US.
Wall Decals are the most stylish home decorative products right now. Easy to apply, easy to remove , Wall Decals are a very modern and creative way to decorate your walls and give new looks to a room in just a few minutes… a total re-wallution for your home!

I was given the opportunity to review one of Dezign With A Z's wall decals and let me tell you I had a hard time deciding which of their many designs to choose from. They have an enormous selection of wall art ranging from Abstract to wall decals for Kids Rooms! They have Super Size decals and Wall Murals. They also have some beautiful designs that would make a wonderful gift for mom. The Floral Art decals are gorgeous and they will even create Custom Letterings and wall quotes for you so you can express anything you want.

After searching through their many designs I finally decided on the Blossun Vinyl Wall Appliques for my review.

I have a Japanese theme going in my home and I thought this piece of art would look great in my dining room. One of the nice things about these wall designs is that many of them can be made in a color to suit your decor. I decided to go with the black shown for my design and I am very glad I did, I love how it looks on my green wall. I have tried a couple of different wall decals from other companies and Dezign With A Z's are by far better then any of them in my opinion. I was very surprised at how easy it was to apply my decal to my wall. I have been disappointed in the past with other decals that were quite a task to apply. Not this one! It was super easy and looks amazing. It almost looks like it is painted on! I also have textured walls  and have had problems in the past with other decals not sticking to them and peeling off. Not this one! It completely stuck to my textured walls without a problem. I absolutely love Dezign With A Z and their amazing wall art and will definitely be purchasing more pieces for my home. Be sure to check out the many Dezign's they carry and buy mom a beautiful piece of art this Mother's Day.

Mama Palooza LIV Aid Giveaway

Breast cancer health is vitally important as a woman and there is great controversy going on right now about the use of mammograms. Early detection is also so important because when breast cancer is caught in the very early stages there is a 95% survival and health rate (within 5 years of catching it) according to Dr. Ernie Bodai.

Self-exams are what bring women to the doctor much quicker than any other source of detection. You have to be an advocate for your health and take care of yourself! Actress, singer and breast cancer survivor Olivia Newton-John joined forces with BHS International to create a self-exam aid that would make self-exams much easier. According to livaid.com: The LIV is a self-examination aid that is designed to help women examine their breast tissue. It molds to the skin and provides a smooth surface for the fingers to easily glide over the breast tissue.

I was sent a LIV Aid after I contacted the company for a review. I had seen Olivia on an episode of The Doctors (click to view her demonstration on the show). Not only did they send me ONE but they sent me TWO LIV Aids. Which means one of you is going to get a wonderful gift to help with self-protection and self-detection!

My personal experience - the LIV Aid is so cute, shaped like a heart! It comes in a special packaging to protect it when not in use. It is squishy, like a plastic bag filled with liquid. I did a self exam as instructed and found that my breast tissue was magnified using the device. Having larger breasts this is really important to me as it can be more difficult to detect lumps. Think of it this way: it's like having very blurry vision your whole life and then getting prescription glasses to see clearly. The LIV opens up your sense of touch to help in detecting possible lumps.

Of course the LIV is not guaranteed to detect breast cancer or lumps - there is always room for user error and it is up to us, as individuals, to do the exams monthly and to get to know each of our own breasts as individuals as well. No two breasts are ever alike and breast tissue will differ. It may take time to get used to using the LIV and to get to know your breasts. It is recommended that women begin these exams when they are 20-years-old. And finally a self-exam aid is never intended to substitute good medical care so keep your regular check-ups as well!

Right now you can get two LIVs and instructional video for $20 plus S/H by visiting their online shop.

Mama Palooza- Elava Botanik Review and Giveaway

CLOSED
Congratulations! Winner  #62 Jennifer T.

"Firmly planted on the belief that what goes on our bodies should be as pure and environmentally-responsible as what we put in our bodies."

Elava Botanik's line of haircare takes natural and organic to a new level. They are the only products in the world that are made with 100% natural, certified-organic fruit pulp. In fact their products are so fresh and pure that they all have a "fresh until" date printed on them just like produce you purchase at the supermarket. By using 100% natural essential plant oils the products remain shelf-stable for up to 10 months. All of their products are completely non toxic and contain no parabens, chlorides, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, preservatives or other chemicals. They are also allergen and gluten free. When tested within a salon environment for over a four year period Elava products were found to:
  • Inhibit UVA oxidation on colored hair, which increased the longevity of color treatment and created a healthier shine.
  • Promoted hair growth and cell renewal.
  • Added body and smooths hair by creating moisture where needed.
  • Improved hair strength and structure.
Elava Botanik's Shampoo and Conditioners come in three different varieties depending on hair type. Papaya for normal hair and frequent washing, Mango for fine and colored hair and Avocado for thick and colored hair. I was given the Avocado Shampoo and Conditioner to try out and was a little unsure about it at first. I do not have thick nor dry hair, in fact my hair is thin and tends to get oily quickly. I was afraid because Avocado is an oily fruit that this shampoo and conditioner would make my hair even more flat and oily then it can be. Guess what? I was wrong! First I would like to say that the texture of this shampoo is very different then what I am use to. It does not lather up in a soapy way but is more like the texture of yogurt. You are suppose to leave the shampoo on for 2 to 3 minutes rather then rinse it out immediately. I am assuming it is so your hair absorbs the nutrients and vitamins. After I washed the shampoo out my hair was really soft. I hadn't even used the conditioner yet and it already felt conditioned! The conditioner is suppose to remain in your hair for 3 to 5 minutes.  I decided to leave it on for the entire 5 minutes to get the full effect. Let me tell you I was very impressed with these hair products. They left my hair super soft and silky and not at all weighed down like I feared. I think this particular variety of shampoo conditioner would be great for someone with dry and damaged hair because it does a great job of moisturizing.

Visit Elava Botanik to find out more about their food grade products and to purchase them. Also be sure to like them on Facebook for more insights on health and beautiful hair.
