What is Sea Buckthorn? I asked myself the same thing when I first heard of it.  

Sea buckthorn is known as a panacea, or cure-all, in many parts of Eastern Asia and Russia. It’s been used for thousands of years to treat all sorts of health issues and illnesses. With modern science and the history of trial and error that made sea buckthorn popular in the first place, we’re now uncovering the true health benefits of this super fruit.

After hearing all of this I was very interested to see how it worked and what it could do for me. I received Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil and Sea Buckthorn Oil Blend omega-7 complete. In reading about them I have learned that they could be very useful for many different things most of all skin which I have a lot of problems with and I was interested to see if it would help. I have very dry sensitive skin which bothers me a lot and I would do anything to help mellow that out.

Well Since I have been taking my Sea Buckthorn I have seen many different improvements in my body. Besides just feeling all around great I can see a big difference in my skin. I am not using as much lotion during the day because I have less dry skin. My skin feels healthy and moist. This is the most important part for me because I struggle with itchy dry skin and I have had a lot less out breaks since using Sea Buckthorn. I think this product is definitely worth giving a try for anyone not just people with skin problems. I feel healthy and strong and will keep using it.

I really like this facial cleanser! First of all it has a very pleasant citrus-y scent, it really wakes up the senses. I also really enjoy the exfoliating particles in this cleanser. It leaves my skin feeling super soft to the touch. I tend to have an oily complexion and this cleanser does the trick of taming the oil and making my skin feel very clean and refreshed.

This is a very light serum that adds moisture to your skin without making it oily. Only a small amount is needed as it tends to lather up a bit if too much is used. I love that it is infused with vitamins to nourish your skin.

This is a very rich cream and can feel a bit heavy if you use too much. Just a small amount is perfect for the job. It did feel a little on the greasy side upon applying it but it quickly absorbs into the skin. As I mentioned above I tend to have oil skin and I did not find that this cream exasperated the issue as I have found many other night creams do.

I was a bit leery about trying this liquid dietary supplement. I have tried liquid dietary supplements in the past and found that they usually would taste pretty terrible and I would have to mask them in some sort of juice in order to get it down. Let me just say this was not the case with this product. I was pleasantly surprised that this liquid supplement was actually very delicious. You are only suppose to drink a small amount a day but this was so good that I could probably gulp down large glasses of it. It has a yummy citrus scent and taste to it. Here is a list of the ingredients in this product.

Sea buckthorn fruit puree, apple juice from concentrate, white grape juice from concentrate, acerola fruit juice from concentrate, certified organic evaporated cane juice, banana puree, sea buckthorn seed oil, natural flavors (mango/citrus), pectin, xanthan gum

I don't know that I have noticed any physical changes from drinking this supplement but the fact that it is loaded with the essential Omega fatty acids 3, 6 and 9. It is also a rich source of elusive Omega 7 fatty acids, a rare and vital component for cellular support and healthy hair, skin and nails. This proprietary formulation is also rich in phytosterols, polyphenols, amino acids, carotenoids, vitamins and minerals makes it something I feel very good about taking. Not to mention it's pretty darn tasty!

As you well know my job here at Girly Girl is to review products and share what I learn with all of you. I have tried several skincare products as of late, I guess you could say I am your very own guinea pig. Occasionally when I try out a product and write up my review I will pass the product along to a friend or family member I think would benefit from it. Sometimes though I find a product that I don't want to give up. SeaBuckthorn Exfoliating Facial Cleanser and SeaBuckthorn Facial Cream are two of those products.

I have been using these products for the last two weeks and I love them. The cleanser has a wonderful citrus-y smell and I love the small exfoliating beads that help soften my skin. The facial cream is also not overly greasy and I love how easy it is to apply. Both of these products have been really gentle on my skin and I really do notice a difference in the texture of my skin and the look of my complexion since I started using them. It's only been two weeks!

 

I have also been taking the Omega 7 Complete softgels daily.

 

Among essential fatty acids you find Omega 7, 9, 6 and 3. It supplies vitamins, and the contents of vitamins C, E, B1, B6 and β-carotene are high. Combination ratio among the more than 190 bioactive elements coincides with what our body needs. This oil blend provides a very wide spectrum of support for good health.

 

One thing I have noticed since I started taking these is that I have more energy. I don't know if this is simply coincidence or what but I could use all the energy I can get.
