Have you heard of Nature's Baby Organics? I had heard of them but hadn't had the privilege of trying their products until now. I was sent two products to test out. I chose one product that is very familiar and popular, the Baby Wash (in lavender and chamomile)! I also decided to choose a new product that I had never heard of, their PU Deodorizer.
I am very impressed with both products! The scents are not overbearing but they leave your baby (and house) smelling fresh. Instead of smelling like powder and chemicals after using the wash my baby smelled clean. It is difficult to describe how clean may smell when we are a generation so used to toxins and chemicals in everything we eat, put on our skin and wear.
I didn't have to use a ton of product either. One little dime-sized drop got her clean from head-to-toe so I know this bottle is going to last us a very long time. The best part is that this stuff is incredibly safe for sensitive skin. Adena, the founder and owner has this to say:
"You can rest easy in knowing that all of our products have been formulated and tested for infants, children and adults with eczema and sensitive skin. These very conditions are what inspired us to produce our natural and organic products."
The PU Deodorizer has been a godsend. I was skeptical about this product, I'll admit. Raise your hand if you've ever tried to deodorize your diaper pail or you just couldn't get that funky diaper smell out of the nursery! Go on, raise your hand high! Well I am here to tell you that this product works. Our nursery smells like roses. There are no roses listed in the ingredients but for some reason the smell of product reminds me of roses. It is a very light, airy scent and I love it.
I was also worried that the spray would only mask odors. You know how you spray a disinfectant to get rid of an odor but instead just make it worse? That you can still smell that underlying and offensive smell AND the chemicals of the disinfectant? Not with this. I'm so serious! It got rid of odors and it didn't make me feel nauseated. No harsh chemically scent lingered. Just the sweet smell of the spray and the offensive odors were gone! I use this spray everywhere in my house, not just the nursery. It works for everything! The bonus is I'm not introducing toxins into our breathing environment.
Here is a new product I can't wait to try, the Achoo Chest Rub! I am ready to try an organic and natural rub for colds and stuffiness instead of the chemical-filled crud you can get at the pharmacy (it will remain anonymous but we all know what I'm talking about). That junk at the store breaks my skin out and I smell more chemicals than the natural eucalyptus that helps clear up stuffiness. So I'm excited to get some of this not only for my children but for me, too:
