Winner- #34 Monkey's Momma
As a mom I do quite a bit of laundry every week! And with all of the environmental issues we face, not to mention our sensitive skin, it is really important to me to wash our clothing and linens in something that is safe for our world and our bodies.
Vaska sent me a sample of their Herbatergent! I was really excited to use this as it is the first eco-friendly laundry detergent that I've ever tried. When I opened the packet my senses were met by a light lavender scent that wasn't over-powering.
My preschooler had had an accident in her bed so my load of laundry comprised of her sheets and comforter. I also threw in her stuffed bunny to see how he'd come out of the wash. Here he is next to his friend who was washed in regular laundry detergent. Can you tell which one was washed in Herbatergent and which was washed in regular detergent?
When the laundry came out of the dryer I was pleasantly surprised by how soft everything was! If you cannot tell from the picture above the bunny on the left was washed in Vaska's Herbatergent! Look at how soft he is in comparison to our other bunny! He felt better than brand new. Not to mention my daughter's sheets and comforter were just as soft and smelled fresh, not as though she had had an accident! I even washed them on cold.

Vaska means, “to wash” in Faroese (Old Norse) – “til dag ar vask dag” means, “today is wash day.” Swedes, most Norwegians, and Icelanders speak a modern version of Old Norse. Vaska founder Julia Fry grew up in Minnesota, and the Nordic culture there remains dear to her heart. I copied from the FAQ at Vaska
